Grease. First movie I ever recall seeing in a theatre was Grease. My babysitter took my sister and I to see it when it came to the theatre near my house. It's really about the only musical I can even stomach. I really don't like musicals at all.

PBM, read any good books lately?

Leave it to Psmith by PG Wodehouse (mose fun to read and turned me into a rabid Plum fan.

Although the obvious answer may be Lightning Lad's (which I do really like) I think that Star Boy's is my favorite.

Ancient Greece. I'd love to study under Socrates or Aristotle. To discuss the morality of mankind, or the role of mankind in the universe. And, to square off against the father of logic in a debate would just blow my mind.

PBM,
Who would you most like to meet, living or dead, famous or not?

It's such a typical answer, but I'd have to say Jesus - in his own time. I'm not religious, but I'm really curious to know if he was as good a man as he is made out to be. I would hope so.

PBM, does religion help or hurt the world today?

Hurt.

Don't get me wrong here. Religion is a good thing. Without religion, I don't think we could have gotten has far as we have, but sometimes I do feel religion is bias and hypercritical. I think people hide behind it and follow it in conflicting manners. How can you believe that God loves all creatures yet come down on others that don’t believe? And how can a murderer confess and ask forgiveness for his sins yet being gay is unforgivable? It doesn’t make sense to me.

My view is that the victors write religious texts, much like history books. They can portray events as they see fit, by their own personal views, or whatever goals they are trying to accomplish. Who is it to say that this is the way it happened? All we have is one view of the events that is a bias accunt. And why are we still following a text written a long time ago for specific reason like it is still that time period? Our lives are vastly different from over a thousand years ago yet people are still following a doctrine that doesn’t necessarily fit with our lives anymore.

I’ll get off my soapbox now and sorry for ranting on for a long time.

PBM, agree or disagree and why?

I think my answer to Semi's question (below) agrees with RTVU2's answer.

Typical lawyer answer: It depends.

I think religion provides the spirituality that people need. I also think that organized religion is capable of hurting lots of people. And like it has been throughout history, some people use religion for their own personal gain/ends.

PBM, What was the best gift you ever got?
