I'm quite fond of the country version of "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" (which was popularized by Aerosmith).

You know what? I think every thread on page 1 should be headlined, forcing all current unheadlined topics to begin on page 2!

I think they need to be thinned down too.
Seems like Who's Who has run its course, and I'm not sure exactly why Cobie's place got headlined in the first place. Not to mention that, while SHAKES still gets 15+ posts a day, the Starfield Room HAS been winding down ehre of late.
I do think Crujectra's thread should stay headlined until her term runs out.
Anyone else have any opinions? Do we have too many threads headlined in this forum?

Anyone else have any opinions? Do we have too many threads headlined in this forum? When Crujeckie's term ends, her thread could be bumped down. The Security office thread though will never be allowed to be buried to page two Sounds good to me Kippers! My only addition would be a thread called "The Statue of the Legendary Cobalt Kid" in which no one would be allowed to post in but would remain headlined in the number one spot. Can this be done?

Oh, sure. We'll put it next to the statue of Reep.

Anyone else have any opinions? Do we have too many threads headlined in this forum? I honestly don't think 5 headlined threads is too many. 7 or 8 maybe, but not 5. I thought it might be nice to highlight Who's Who so that new posters would have an easy way to get to know us. Even if people aren't posting to it in the numbers they once were, doesn't mean that new members and lurkers aren't deriving an important benefit from the information that's already there -- I kind of saw it as an "encyclopedia" to the people of LW, as it were... a way for new members to feel at home.

I actually agree that the Who's Who should be permanently headlined, and that we should encourage new posters to contribute to it as well.
I agree that the Embassy should be headlined throughout Crujectra's term, then perhaps replaced with a new "refurbished" embassy for the next leader.
Both these threads contribute to the important function of welcoming new members, which I take it is the primary purpose of this forum.
I'm less certain, actually, that Shakes should be automatically headlined. It seems like it generates enough traffice that it should stay near the top of the forum anyhow, and it doesn't seem as intrinsically important as the other two.
That's just my opinion, though.

Sounds good to me Stu. We'll have SHAKES as a headlined thread, and I'm for keeping the Who's Who up there too. And I guess that whoever is the current leader should have their own headline thread up there too.
Now that I've created the thread for the Statue of the legendary poster known as Cobalt Kid, we might as well headline that too. I say make it the first one headlined. What do you think guys, isn't this a great idea?

Yeah. Kippers said SHAKES gets about 15 posts a day. Why in the world does a thread that gets about 15 posts a day need to be headlined?

That's just my opinion, though. In a way, I agree. That's why I suggested removing the headline from the Starfield Palace as well.

Just my two credits from someone who doesn't visit the MMB section much anymore. 5 is definitely too much. 3 headlined should be the max. And threads like Shakes that get posted to daily should not be headlined. Right now the only ones I see needing to be headlined are the Embassy and Who's Who. Again, just my opinion. From someone who has absolutely no power around here whatsoever.

Although you have to agree that headlining the Statue of Cobalt Kid thread is a pretty money idea
