In honor of Semi's 3000th post, I decided to take a little trip down memory lane -- I read through the first 25 pages of SHAKES.

Boy, those were heady times!

Stu, I just did that recently! The first twenty pages or so were some heavy flirting, and a nice little love story between Semi and Vee !

The next twenty five after are good, especially during the times of the Alt ID's invading Legion World, Icey going bad and Space Ranger showing up when people weren't sure if he was good or bad! Who could forget Space Ranger blasting off the doors to SHAKES?

I want to reread the last hundred or so pages myself, to see all the fun nights we had posting here, having a few 'drinks' together

All the regulars need to make it a point to start posting here at least once everytime they visit Legion World! We miss some of those who are less frequent here!

SHAKES was started on September 12, and began as a thread on The Anywhere Machine until it was moved on September 16 (page 13) to the Mission Monitor Board.

Varalent, Kid Prime, MLLASH, Icefire, Danny Blaine, superboymddjr, and a couple of others were regulars from day one!

STU's first visit to SHAKES -- September 12, page 4. (But that was only a brief drop-by... I didn't start hanging out regularly until quite a bit later.)

Arachne's first visit to SHAKES -- September 17, page 18. (Though, like mine, this was just a drop-by.) Winema Wazzo (page 14) is another visitor around this time.

Cobalt Kid's first visit to SHAKES -- September 18, page 27. This was during a very interesting episode with Space Ranger, Icey, and Mantis, which I completely missed when it happened!

Outdoor Miner's first visit to SHAKES -- September 18, page 31. This was followed shortly by the first appearance of Tarik the Mute's Android and Emerald Empress (page 34).

That's it, up to page 35...

The Royal Inquisitor pops in -- September 19, page 36.

Kara, Sonnie, and Rhino drop by. Arachne orders her first Opal Nera at SHAKES! A busy day -- September 20, page 43.

Cobalt Kid's formal introduction to SHAKES -- September 20, page 44.

Congrats SemiSweetUms! Sorry I missed this milestone. It's been a blast so far so here's to many more!

September 25, page 52 -- Semi Transparent Fellow deeds to Varalent an undivided one-half interest in SHAKES, including real and intellectual property interests with mutual right of survivorship.

Things have settled into place very comfortably, and SHAKES has become the bar we all know and love today.

Elsewhere, Cobalt Kid organizes a mission to rescue Space Ranger (who has been missing for a while) from the clutches of Thora. (Did we find out whether he succeeded...?)

SHAKES signature drinks.

I think you need a Fearless Leader.

THE FEARLESS LEADER - A strong shot of a mixable gin (like Sapphire or Beefeater), a smaller shot of Campari, a dash of Rose's Lime, and a spray of seltzer; shake one hundred times, and garnish with a slice of orange.

Danny, how about your signature drink, the Blain Blaster?

BLAINE BLASTER - 180 proof alcohol, a shot of gin, a swirl of mint schnaps topped with just a sprig of mint (cherry optional).

I think more people need to order the signature drinks -- lest their creator forget the recipes!
