Well, Cobie, we'll talk bourbon another day. Hendricks it is - with a slice of cucumber (that's the way it's done.)

107 pages and 1600 posts later (milestone by Semi) to be exact! Aside to SemiSweets ~ Is that all you have to talk about Martinis & Manhattans?

Well, Vee, you find a hole, and you fill it. Get your mind in business mode. LW had no place for its superheroes to relax. Is it any wonder SHAKES took off?

I suspect it had more to do with the gorgeous proprietor!

No wonder indeed! SHAKES offers a level of enjoyment neccessary for the heroes of Legion World! This thread certainly has turned into a mainstay of Legion World, and I know I always look forward to reading it whenever I log in!
BTW Semi, what are some of the other great martini's you've had? What is the standard olive-gin martini that most bars serve when you order a dry martini? These are important things to know if I'm to live up to my role as a martini connosoiur (which is a word I can never spell by the way).

Now, how are you doing? Would you mind if I bought you a drink?I wouldn't it at all, except for the small matter of the drinks being free. As for the salad, Semi, it was cremini, portebello and white button mushrooms sauted with leeks and red pepers in red wine vinegar and served on a bed of mixed greens sprinkled with crumbled blue cheese. Unfortunately, half the guests backed out at the last minute so I tried to cut the recipe in half. It was the blandest salad I have ever taseted in my life. You know food's really bad when my mother tosses out perfectly good leftovers.

I couldn't do a salad if my life depended upon it. Ialways opt for a seafood appetizer and then go into the soup. I do have a couple of salad recipes I'd share with you though. Actually, I'd share any recipes if you wanted me to. I think we need to start a recipe thread. Tomorrow -- though.

Cobie, you're going to have to be very careful of the openings you provide me in your posts. I'm having a very hard time controling myself and not picking up on that one!

Ok People.... I've been off world so long, I need some answers to a few questions? 1) Whos dating Who on the boards... I mean Icey wants to date Shark Lad. I feel like we need a roll call of the couples. 2) Is Martini's the only thing served here? A friend of mine is found of "Dirty Martini's". I love Bourbon and Black Russians (Chocolate Russians are good too. and finally 3) Do you have live entertainment. I would love to give a show.

(appears, with plate of pancakes)
You can never find any syrup when you need it, I swear.
(Goes into fridge, pulls out bottle of Guinness, opens it, and pours contents onto pancakes.)
There we go.

Oh, hey Healex.
I'll let the actual couples answer your first question, as I don't want to speak for anybody.
SHAKES has much, much more than martinis. If you have a favorite, let 'em know and they'll keep it stocked.
Personally, I think all of us *are* the live entertainment at SHAKES, but there aren't any official performers here. What did you have in mind.

Healex: To answer your questions... 1) Icy wants to date SharkLad at the moment, but he also dates Italian Boy, and .... well truth is Icy likes to date everybody. Semi & I are definitely an item. Can't think of any other couples but there's a whole lot of flirtin' goin' on (as usual) 2) SHAKES has anything and everything you could possibly want as far as a beverage. We make a point of keeping everyone's particular favorite in stock. 3) As Miner said, we pretty much are the entertainment around here! The Starfield Lounge nextdoor has a stage for performances (Icy wanted to install poles on the stage in order to do his routine but Danny hasn't agreed to that yet.) If you have some entertainment you'd like to present, I'm sure Danny would love to here from you.
