Unless Gail does it in her four issue arc,. this won't happen. Whether Waid and Kitson continue the tradition of R.J. is yet to be seen. Another Legionnaire will be crippled or somehow drastically altered. Does Jarth count? I think so. I'm giving you this one Drake. There will be one controversial new Legion romance. I think the Lyle/Brainy 'kiss' came close enough to count even though it wasn't revealed as a romance. M'onel will leave the team. Nope. Will Mark and Barry use him? Don't know. The events in #25 will not be what they first appear to be. [/crystal ball] Not sure. This one could go either way.

Winema will use her power & influence to break up Jo & Tinya's marriage - but they'll get back together within a year of their time. Hasn't happened but Jo and Tinya appear to be figuring into Gail's arc. Maybe she'll succeed in breaking them up. 3. There will NOT be an open gay Legion relationship, despite the interest of many fans. Just look at how rabid popular opinion is in the US about gay marriage - I don't think DC will risk it. Prove me wrong, cowards. Not being a coward, I can't prove you wrong. So far you are right. Of course, Gail may change that. 4. Along with Darkseid, we'll see a return of the New Genesis gods. We got Orion as a Servant but I beleive that was all. 5. No more Legionnaire babies for several years yet. I think the creative/editorial team don't really know what to do with a baby on Legion World, and don't want any retirements yet. Who knows? Maybe Mark and Barry will go along with this. Or maybe they'll have to open a Legion Daycare. We'll have to wait and see.

Likely to remain the case, even under Waid and Kitson. 3. Mekt Ranzz will not return to villainy during DnA's tenure. He'll be a little shaky though. True. With their tenure over as of today Mekt is not a bad guy. But we can hope that Mark and Barry will rectify that problem post-haste. 4. Threshhold technology will have some sort of bad consequences for the UP, technological breakdown, problems with the Kwai or other galactic powers trying to take the tech by force. Something else else that seems too good to be true usually is, as they say. Don't know how the new team will use the threshholds, assuming they will. We did see one of the Kwais as a member of the Creedo and that kinda of mind the tech turn rotten. 5. I'm going with the crowd, I want the "Last Legion Story" by Shooter and art by Dave Cockrum!!!! Paul Levitz, you have the power!!!! Again, it may still come to pass.

Closest we will come is the appearance in Teen Titans #17 and the cross-over one shot. Not sure if either of those issues will be in October though. DnA will NOT retire as the Legion writing team BEFORE they:
2) Resurrect Garth (Kwaiverse mission?) We have Jarth and that's what they left. 3) Resolve Jan's fate (don't think he'll ever rejoin the Legion in this continuity) No resolution and DnA are done. 4) Take Kinetix out of her misery (she'll mutate again, die, disappear or leave the Legion) Looks to me like she was left mutated. I further predict:
5) The M'onel/Valor storyline will heat up again after Superboy settles down as a member of the Legion, so as to better differentiate these two alpha males. Doubtful to happen in the last 5 issues. We'll have to see what the cross-over and new creative team brings us.

Most of BB's seem to be in jest but I'll treat them as serious since I'm not very adept at reading intentions over the internet. Predictions: Lyle will become the new Spectra, or spectra like character. Nope. Shooter's last story will come out in 2004 but the crystal ball is fuzzy on the artist. Again... The UP will be invaded and conquered in 15 minutes, many Legionnaires will be possessed, the legion will win in five minutes in a completely unforseable or illogical way. This will take place over six issues, though four would probably have been enough. The art will be great. Didn't happen but would have been fun and inline with DnA's story telling. Due to the continuities of natural laws, Ferro found a finger, one must be lost. Umbra gets married. Can still happen in Steve's upcoming issue. Dawnstar is found wondering lost in the kwaiverse, leading to uproar on the message boards over this mistreatment. Probably not. Kon-el is introduced as a member of Legion, is interesting and results in no DCU crossover events. Hell freezes. Well he kinda sorta is a member. Interesting is up to interpretation. But there will be a cross over. So the temp dropped a few degrees in Hell but it did not freeze over.

She'll be returned to normal as a result of some bigger storyline or threat the Legion faces, probably after the Credo arc. I don't think Keith (Champagne) or Gail are using Kinetix so I feel safe and saying this will not happen before Waid and Kitson take over. 2. Sensor's personality will continue to evolve, perhaps growing fiercer, while her looks and lack of a Legion belt will probably remain. Her personality did continue to worsen but I think it has evened out. And she did get a belt. 3. Umbra won't immediately rejoin the Legion for about another year. Until then, we may catch up with her once or twice in interludes and of course the much anticipated the Legion #24. This was wrong as soon as #24 hit the stands. 4. DnA will have probably two or three more big story arcs, including the 'Who is Superboy?' upcoming arc, before their departure. If I had to pick an issue, I'd put this somewhere around 40. Right on story arcs but off on the issue #, just as I was. 5. Violet will eventually get a more prominent role, although it may be the end of DnA's run. It may still come to pass with Waid and Kitson.

Polar Boy will have earned his Legion membership by this issue (or possibly will earn it during this issue), and will take down the Credo's "Brek" during the battle. Didn't happen in issue #50 (a number we'll have to wait a few more years now to see) and I don't think it quite happened that way. Maybe I should stop and read #33 before going. 2. The Legion will gain several new members from the Kwai galaxy. Paragon of Mercy will be one of them. Not going to happen. At least I don't think so. 3. The next Legion wedding will be Garth and Imra. Maybe. Or maybe not. I don't think that we'll see a wedding in the last issues. 4. Before they leave the book, DnA will introduce a rebooted Dawnstar, thus putting an end to the "Is Shikari a rebooted..." question once and for all. Whether they incorporate her brother Greybird into the book is another matter altogether... No Dawny. Unless you guys are holding out on me and she made an appearance in #33. 5. The next big story arc following "Foundations" will concern the Fatal Five and the object they are searching for. Nope.

In hommage to the classic ADVENTURE 2-parter, DNA write a tale in which M'onel, Superboy, Triad and Umbra must flee to the 20th century to escape Mordru. May have been fun but didn't happen. 5. There will be a Hypertime Maxi-Series that somewhat follows the spirit of AVENGERS FOREVER in which we see how the Time Trapper (a single Trapper) has been manipulating the Legion throughout throughout various timelines. It climaxes with a deadly battle between the Trapper and the current team at the end of time. The 12-part series is called LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES: TILL THE END OF TIME and is drawn by Steve Lightle with painted covers by Alex Ross. Hey, we all can dream and they can still do this as an Elseworlds.

Well, he's still hanging around. 2) By issue #50, the Legion will have expanded to 50 members, adding Dreamer, Tenzil Kem, Polar Boy, Live Wire, Element Lad, Colossal Boy, Blok, Quislet, Dawnstar and some new characters. The large cast of characters will be the basis for ... No #50 (not for another 5 years roughly) and no 50 member team for the future. 3) A second Legion monthly. Half the group will commit to defending law and order in the darker, spookier Credo-less Progeny/Kwai universe, building a United Planets there from scratch. DnA will write this monthly, much like a Vertigo style book. Not likely to be in this format but maybe Steve's rumored Legion Outpost will give us a second title. 4) Cub will turn out to be Singularity from a different Hypertime. When the two "singularities" meet, a cataclysmic event will occur (splitting the Legion into two groups!) Probably not. 5) The aforementioned second Legion title will feature SW6 type Legionnaires who look colorful and can easily be transferred to cartoon animations (Legion Adventures!) It will include Triad, Bouncing Boy, M-E Lad, Spark, Colossal Boy, Sun Boy, Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Karate Kid, Dawnstar, Invisible Kid II, Gas Girl, Polar Boy, Chameleon, Gates and Brainiac 5. This title will exist in the current United Planets and be written by Kurt Busiek. Sigh.

Kidnapped and roughed up. 3) Tinya's third body shows up, kidnaps her and impersonates her. The real Tinya's disappearance won't be noticed for another year, and when they do find her she will be in a sens-tank. Nope. 4) Timber Wolf will kill someone in battle, and will be expelled after a trial which will end in a tie, but will rejoin after rescuing Tinya from the sens-tank.
