I voted for Tyroc cause after debating all the great choices he seemed more aerodynamic due to his bald head LOL

From DC Nation's Twitter: According to editorial if the current leader in the http://www.legionelection.com wins they'll need to "totally change their plans!"

I can see it now. "Quislet Leader Now! All Legionnaires must dance. Poop-a-doop!"
Followed by a 12-issue dance party.

It would be *hilarious* if the leading candidate is the Legionnaire Levitz planned to make the new Green Lantern. Anyway, I'm hoping this exit poll is accurate, because *my* chosen one is currently in the lead.

It wouldn't surprise me if Click Here For A Spoilerthey were planning on sending Mon-El off to wander space, per his Adult Legion fate, and he really is currently leading in vote count!

Ooh, that exit poll has me excited. I like both of the two front-runners for leader!
I'm sure that it's not terribly accurate, 'though.

I like Mon-el but I just can't see what would be terribly exciting/interesting about having him be the leader?
He's already got that Superman/Cosmic Boy-esque smart, stoic leadery type of demeanour.
That may be great if you're voting for a leader in real life but in a comic book it strikes me as a little... boring.
I was hoping to see someone shake the book up a bit. Now I'm kinda wishing I really had rigged the competition for Tyroc or Gates or Yera or someone with my University's computers.

If he's got some fun interactions with Earth-Man and Shady, there could be some serious drama.
I'd rather not have him turn into such a dynamic leader figure that Shady gets 'buyer's remorse' and wants to change her mind again, because that wouldn't really paint her in a very good light...

Well, obviously the younger crowd is voting (which is a good thing) because Monel has been so present in recent Superman titles that I'm not surprised he's in the lead.
I'm more excited at the prospect of seeing Phantom Girl as Deputy Leader ... it's about time.

I doubt we'll find out until it's announced in the book.

It seems that the voters are in a conservative mood. Too many confusing changes as of late, so they voted for continuity. I'd comment further, but I don't know how the spoiler window thingy works. If only LASH were here....

From Paul's Facebook:
"Paul Levitz is busy tearing up his Legion plot charts and figuring out how to accommodate the will of the masses!"
Looks like a definite curveball. Hopefully this means no Earth-man as I assume he'd have that contingency in mind. Perhaps Cos won afterall? Paul seemed to have an idea of where he wanted to take him (Academy maybe?), and this may force him to keep him on a different (same) track.

Hmmmm. Anything's possible but I'd put Cosmic Boy somewhere between "unlikely" and "not a chance." He's a bottom feeder in the exit poll, getting less than 2% of the votes. Tied with Earth-Man, as a matter of fact!
Without giving the exit poll more credibility than it deserves, I figure it's got to be one of the top six who received more than 5% of the vote -- Mon-El, Phantom Girl, Gates, Brainiac 5, Tyroc or Shadow Lass.
I'm betting Phantom Girl lost her bid because she was the early favorite and her winning wouldn't have been such a curveball.

Of those six, Gates, Mon-El and Tyroc seem like curveballs.
With Gates, no matter how funny it seems, feeling a bit preposterous, since most of the voting Legionnaires seem pretty darn unlikely to vote as leader someone they've never really met. As much as I've grown to love Tellus, I couldn't see him becoming leader for much the same reason. He's got no real history with anyone on the team, no big friendships, no nothing, and Quislet's primary interaction with the team is pissing off Dream Girl by gossipping about her affair, since his interactions with Drake appear to have been dropped from continuity.
In-story, I could see Mon-El getting votes because the Shady / Earth-Man thing has him on everyone's mind, and it being an unconscious rebuke of recent events. He's actually a pretty darn conservative / expected choice, since he's got a lot of screentime in the recent 21st century Kryton War storyline, and he's got the goods, with the only 'curve' to his selection being if Paul had plans to keep him off-screen for an extended period of time. (Which, since the voters, whether they be readers out of story or other Legionnaires in-story, wouldn't matter, since only Paul and Nura would know that the future's plans for him conflict with the will of the masses!)
Tyroc feels a bit more 'curvy,' since he's not been shown to have any strong friendships (or rivalries, or other interactions) with other Legionnaires for such a long time that it would 'read' as kind of out of the blue for him to be voted leader by the other Legionnaires. On the other hand, making sense of that would lead to Paul having to at least line-drop some backstory for where he's been for the last decade or so, to make it more credible that he could have garnered enough support to win the election.
Tinya, Brainy and Shady already have had some real presence, and don't appear to be getting 'written out' as much as the others, so they're not really curveballs. (And Vril 3.0 pretty much thinks he's in charge, anyway...)
Eeenteresting!
Over to you, Pat Buchanan, Mon-El's clearly the safe choice, the establishment candidate, the 'Legionnaire's Legionnaire,' the guy who could be considered the career politician or elder statesman of the contest. In light of voter unease over rocking the boat, in these uncertain times, could he have gotten a disproportionate number of votes simply because the readership wants a more 'comfortable' leader and is unready to embrace the move into uncharted waters that Tyroc or Gates would introduce?

Mon-El is leader with Phantom Girl as deputy leader. I'm just guessing though.
