Stopped at the one close to home (inconvient on the way to work) and they had Timber Wolf and Superman. Got two of each and an unused box, which shouldn't change during the promotion. Also got Caroline the two build a bears since she wanted them.

I got lucky at two locations and snagged Superman, Timber Wolf, Lightning Lad, Bouncing Boy and Tharok for $2.50 each, without a meal. But all the other stores I visited had only Superman and/or Timberwolf, or didn't have any at all.
I'm not sure I got the whole story but one of the counter people told me that Superman and Timberwolf are the first wave and the others will follow. Here's the sequence of release advertised by one of the locations:
Build a Bear / LSH Hearts for You & Vanilla Fudge / Superman and Timberwolf Fru Fru Poodle & Curly Teddy / Lightning Lad & Mano Nikki's Bear & Playful Puppy / Tharok & Brainiac 5 Spring Bear & Kitty / Bouncing Boy & Validus

Well, I went to two locations tonight and got Lightning Lad, Mano, and Superman. There's a poster and a display box (that I'll be begging managers for when this is over as well).

After remembering August was the month i went to McDonalds last night and grabbed a Happy Meal. in addition to reminiscing about my childhood (i used to have so much fun with those boxes and the toys and the family dinner outings) i snagged a Timber Wolf.
Not the one i would have wanted...but it's a start.

I picked up a Superman and a Timberwolf. I like them but I wish they were a little more action figure-ish like some other promos they've had. At least the trading cards and nice boxes kind of make of for the fact they're basically mini-statues.

There's a poster and a display box (that I'll be begging managers for when this is over as well).I got to looking at the box closer and started wondering if they might have another one. Why leave out the Interlac numbers if they weren't going to be on a second box?

Here's a scan of the Timber Wolf and Superman cards. Sorry for the quality but I burned up yet another scanner.

I like the fact that they used a pic of Superman from the ep where he used weapons instead of maybe him lifting something heavy or using his heat ray... >>

I went to the Colfax Ave. McD's in Lakewood Co and all they had was Superman.
So, I got my 4-year-old one. He wants a Validus to fight. We want Lightning Lad and Bouncing Boy, too.
All you need is Love (and a whole big bucket of Money).

My closest store in Houston only had the Superman and Timber Wolf, same as a friend in LA, so I figured it was like that everywhere. I did see my store had some sort of display case but I did not see any posters or anything else. They got rung up on the register as "Happy Meal Toy/No Food" for $1.79 each.

The poster has Superman and Lightning Lad. I can't recall the slogan but it's actually only the bottom half. The top is displaying the "girl toys." Here's a few more cards... I'll post the rest tomorrow. They're all scanned in. My computer keeps crashing for some reason whenever I edit the images.

All I could get was Superman and Timber Wolf at my local Micky D's
I tried to rip their soul out.I tried to make them forget Superman. But they won't.

I got all 8 from my local McDonalds!
Now the question is... what do I do? I still have each of them in the sealed plastic bags. Do I neatly cut that open and take a look, then put it all away? Do I just ravage the packaging and play with the figures? Something else else in between? I'm unsure.
I don't *want* to go to McDonalds because that food hurts my stomach, but I do kinda want to continue to support these toys while they're on the maket. It'd be cool to get extras.
Such a dilemma!

I had to go to 4 stores before I got them all. Most had only Superman or him and Timber Wolf, but the last had a carton with all of them. In Houston they're all $1.79 each. I took some photos of the advertising (all but the poster) and they're up at the Legion Omnicom .

Two trips and I got Seven of them. Still missing Validus. Guess I will try the MickeyDs near work tomorrow.
There is a big price difference between the two different ones though. I got Superman and Timberwolf for $1.98 at one and then the other 5 cost me 9 plus at another. Off course it was a McDonalds that had flat screens, a lounge area and free wifi.

After visiting a couple of other McD's today I started thinking. $1.95 + tax would come to $16.83 (not counting the gas to drive around town). On eBay I found a full set for $10.99 + $3.50 shipping. Saving me nearly $2.50, again not counting gas. That'll get me a gallon of gas. Now just to call a couple of the local managers to see if they'll save me the advertising.
