Not so, unless they join the Titans, now that Titans have joined the League.

Isn't Mon-El just about the only super hero that doesn't have a skin tight spandex costume?

Donna has been in the JLA before, and rather recently, I think. She took over for Dians and became a Wonder Woman for quite awhile.
I get a little confused about the Titans because I don't read their book anymore, but I thought most of the older ones had moved on to other books/groups.
Have they come back or am I just habitually confused? sigh [/b]Was there another time Donna was subbing for Diana? The only time I remember was in WOnder Woman #1 the 1 year later re-start. And then it was only for that issue. Technically you could say that Donna was Wonder Woman for that year that was missing, but that doesn't translate into story, either in Wonder Woman or in JLA. And for me, it is actual story time and issues of a book that would make me say that Character X was a JLA member.

The inclusion of Congorilla made me think that Mon-el might be instrumental in bringing together this new/renewed JLA team, since he met him on his exploratory world tour. In this sense, he would be like Valor rallying resistance to the Dominators in the 5YL version - and gain a lot of hero cred for the history books.
Although Valor was known in the future for seeding the planets, Mon-el could just be heralded as a great hero - so he wouldn't have all that god-like worship stuff to deal with when he finally gets to the 31st century.

FC,
There is a mini-series out called "Cry for Justice" which follows Hal's forming a 2nd Justice League that emphasises the justice part. Congorilla is part of that as is Mikaal Tomas (The blue alien Starman). I think this new Justice League is to be a continuation of the miniseries team or a merging of the miniseries team with others.

I'm enjoying the Mon-El storyline and I actually like the Justice League membership...
I just don't like the S-shield and costume and name change...
A name change is hardly ever needed, especially when the name is as cool as Mon-El.
IF you don't want to use Mon-el...then don't use Mon-El...use someone else or create someone new, then you don't have to change a name or costume.
I do not know why writers do this stuff...it only makes things more confusing when characters have 15 different names...
Since Mon-El has already sufferd this abuse during the 5YG and reboots...I'd just as soon they change another character into a different character...Mon's already been punished with that crapola enough.
I like what they are doing with him...except for the name and costume change. They should just create a new character rather than messing up an established and beloved one and giving him an identity crisis. This applies to pretty much all unnecessary character tweaks on al characters in all books in all of comics.
Just like with the repeated killing of Karate Kid and replacing him with lamr unmemorable characters that are exactly like him only different...
Why give us second rate Karate Kids that aren't as well liked as the original was? Why not just give us the original?
Like I could see the KK from L03W get eviscerated and not care...
So why don't thy kill him for a change. Bring the original KK back, then create second rate replacements and kill them if they want to kill a Karate Kid.

Giffen didn't kill him this last time, did he? (I'm don't want to look it up, sigh.)

In fact Giffen said part of the reason he did Countdown was because he was going to get to kill Karate Kid again, which he did. Killed him in LSH #4, killed the SW batch one in the 5YG, killed the one in Countdown. Didn't get to kill the Reboto and 3Boot Val's(so far) and that's about it.

I missed most or all of Countdown, I guess. How is that possible?! Dang it. I'm going to have to go through my boxes and look it up. I have the issue where Val and Una died. How did I miss Giffen's name on the cover. Dang it.
About the latest Superman #691, who is 'Mirabal'?
The big dragon eating the littler dragon is a scene right out of the dragon movie with McConnahe(sp). And the only 'magical' world I know of is Gem World/Zerox/Sorcerer's World.
Johns has used Gem World before. Is he the one that turned Amethyst into a badgirl? Dang it. Mirabal has purple eyes and a purple tatoo.
I'm really hating General Lane. I wish this story line would end. sigh

Giffen was neither the writer or the pencil artist, he was the layout artist and I don't believe he received cover credits, but he did say the reason he did that series(after doing ht esame thing on 52) is because he got to kill Karate Kid again.

Did anyone else pick up the Jimmy Olsen special? Mon-El played a big role. The events of this story could have as significant an impact on him as anything that has been done with the character during his current release from the Phantom Zone.

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and spoil it. It seems like a pretty major development to me and nobody is discussing it anywhere. I'm dying to know what other people think. I guess the $4.99 price tag scared people off and nobody knows what happened.
Click Here For A SpoilerJimmy Olsen supposedly dies at the end of the special. Earlier in the issue, Mon-El assured Jimmy that he would be there if there is any trouble. Jimmy tries in vain to call Mon on the signal watch, and cries out Mon-El's name repeatedly as he is attacked and as he is dying.
The scene is incredibly well done. Very haunting. You really feel the desperation.

i read it and liked it...we all know why Mon wasn't there was because he was busy in Metropolis' sewers. I just want to know how jimmy's resurrection is gonna manifest itself. And from the feeling I'm getting about the series _(the whole storyline) is that General Lane is sooooooo in for a mighty fall...as well as MOrgan Edge and Cat Grant.
From the looks of upcoming covers Lois is gonna be arrested for conspiarying with Kryptonians and Cat's smiling like a well cat with a canary in its mouth.
And of course Metropolians are like sheep believe what anyone says negative about superman, supergirl and Kryptonians.
