I'm betting Colossal Boy will be killed, which is why Yera volunteers for the mission to the 21st century.
Earth Man is being so set up to join the LSV that it can't possibly happen (but maybe will happen anyways).

I think that Earth Man will be killed....not Colossal Boy...it has been speculated that Chameleon Girl will be killed alongside Gates in #1 or #2....sigh.
Brainiac 5 will resign, and go back to Colu to help rebuild the civilization.
Shrinking Violet will stay...so will Ayla.
Shadow Lass will resign, due to Earth Man's death. (BTW you missed Shadow Lass on your list)
Polar Boy will remain as a Legionnaire. extremely loyal to the end.
XS disappears again. sigh.

Paul has stated in recent interviews that Brainiac 5 will still be around working with Glorith on something mystical. And I think Shadow Lass will still be on the team, regardless what happens to Earth Man. Mon-el coming back full time to be the leader will open up some drama between the two Although if she did leave it could open up room for Shadow Kid?
I agree that Colossal Boy will be the one(s?) to resign
