My thoughts on clowns:

Can't stand Pennywise/It, Chief Clown from Dr. Who episode:Greatest Show in the Galaxy and
Oopsie (host of 1970s Daisyville and later Big Top Talent--yaaargh!) but my most despised type of clown has to be Upside Down Clowns...

If there are any Canadians here, who grew up in the 70s, especially in Ontario, there was a famous kiddie show called Polka Dot Door. And the most noted character was a giant creature called Polkaroo BUT few people don't know/may not remember this but BEFORE Polkaroo, in the EARLY EARLY seasons of PDD, there was an Upside Down Clown that literally scared the beejezus out of me. I think it was voiced by Alex Laurier (who later became Moose on CUCUMBER) or whoever the male host was. I just remember staring in horror at this nasty creature talking to the female host almost in a mocking tone feet in the air, walking on it's hands. Maybe for a studio show it was a giant puppet or actually some guy/male host in a costume...don't know...would like to know some day but anyhoo...

Bozo...Best Clown EVER hands down but not upside down if you please. Krusty...sort of funny better than Oopsie that's for sure!

Joker...horribly evil and insane but he would mop the floor with Chief Clown, Oopsie and any said upside down clowns/puppets.

We're just...not gonna let the whole "clown doll" thing go, are we? LOL

no. we're not. *grins* I can totally see myself using this in my fanfic.

Oh, I know. I loved Brainy's line:

"Bouncing Boy's movies, Lightning Lad's... *pauses* ...doll..."

I love that line! it's my signature! *points to sig*

It was nice to see Bouncing Boy again after being absebt the last few eps. The beginning reminded me too much of that "Teen Titans" ep dealing with fear, but that's a minor quibble.

When those shadow-forms attacked, I half expected to see Shadow Lass make an appearance - too bad.

what shadow forms?

The shadow forms that pinned them to the walls while Lightning Lad was getting sucked into that portal thing, remember?

oh! I just called those the automatic defenses. (whatever Brainy says is automaticly true in my mind)

I thought there was a Rocky Horror vibe, in addition to recalling The Addams Family and The Munsters.

Maybe those pink sheets were Mekts? *That'd* explain a lot!

lol could be ML but I find that VERY unlikely. I mean, LL and Light Lass ARE twins so it would make sense for them to share a room. but you can think what you like.

Well, if you have two teenage kids who are opposite genders (even if they're twins) you'd gotta give them some privacy. It's just polite to the kids, ya don't want them taunting eachother about things that should not be discussed do ya?

anyway, Lightning Lad most likely joined the Legion before they were really old enough to request seperate rooms.

Meh, good point. *shrugs* And You might wanna check that big map over there *points to random wall*, it's got a big star saying "LEGION HQ HERE" on it. ^_^

I don't think he approves of my "celebrity" (anime/cartoon) crushes. lol

I know, we're being taunted by the fact reality's in the way daily.
Yeah, and here's something else to think about:
Ya see how freakin' huge that thing was considered to him in the episode? Now just imagine how much bigger it looked to him when he got his powers. That alone probably traumatized the poor guy and made him crap his pants.

yah I know. but remember that this was from his memory.

Ya, good point. But now I can't get the image of a young Lightning Lad crying and having whizzed his pants out of my head. *slams head into desk with laughter*

I didn't mean that to sound quite so gruesome. Honest.
I just meant it would be really cool to see Garth's sister show up pretending to be her dead twin brother (like in the silver age classic story)...and the artificial arm has been a physical part of LL's character for so long that I keep wondering when he'll get it in the cartoon.

See? I didn't mean it in a 'creepy cabin by the creepy lake' kind of way.

I know what you mean. I've done my research (since I'm only 15 and I'm a person who needs to be from the beginning to understand it) and I was annoyed when he didn't have his artificial arm. My dad and brother were all confused (My dad rocks btw, he watches LOSH with me whenever he can, people can never be too old for cartoons I say) so I had to explain it to them and why I was so psyched to see Mekt.

I've done as much research as I can but since all of it has been based off of Brainy, (and because I don't really like Lightning Lad) so I don't know what you're talking about. could someone fill me in?

OK, here's the quote from Wikipedia (I'm already there because I'm researching for a ficcy)
"-stung by Ayla's charge that he talked a good game on finding Mekt, but never actually did anything about it, he went on his travels again to try and do it. 27060 credits later, he found himself on the planet Bisbe, having been robbed of his last 512 credits. And, when trying to get it back, he was arrested for murder - under Mekt's name. Rather than protesting that he wasn't Mekt, he stayed silent, and just as the truth was discovered, Mekt broke through the wall and killed the police officer who was trying to dissuade Garth from taking Mekt's fall. when Garth saw just how insane Mekt had become, he tried to blast him, but was knocked out by Mekt. Meanwhile, Ayla was told of Garth's arrest and the cop's electrocution, and rushed straight to Bisbe.

Garth awoke just as they were entering Korbal's orbit, where Mekt started killing more beasts to increase his own power, and so that he would be the only one with lightning powers, a plan that did not involve Garth or Ayla. As Garth realized this, several Science Police cruisers flew overhead - announcing that he was under arrest for the murder of a policeman. Mekt immediately began to down the cruisers, while Garth pleaded with Mekt to stop it. Finally, when Ayla showed up and Mekt fried her, while ranting on, Garth was finally forced to face the truth about Mekt, but Mekt - by this point more powerful than both of the twins together, retaliated by vapourising Garth's right arm. Ayla grabbed Mekt's laser pistol and shot him in the leg, delaying him while she saw that Garth's wound had cauterised itself. Finally, as Mekt prepared to finish them off, Garth prompted Ayla to hold his (remaining) hand and let their powers run together freely. The resulting blast was enough not only knock Mekt off his feet, but completely discharge him (not to mention turning his hair white). Mekt was then finally arrested by the S.P., and (after a short stay in hospital) Garth was cleared of all charges."

Jeepers! You kids! Garth lost his arm to the Great Green Space-Whale!
