Interesting. I've been wondering for years if they'd ever retell Crisis post-Zero Hour (and now post-WaK) in a way that deals with the Legion's involvement. Did the post-Crisis, post-Zero Hour Crisis event cut across the timestream like the original did?

I think she's from the Pocket Universe.

This new origin spackles quite a bit of things together doesn't it? It seems like a combination of Byrne's take on Donna Troy/Wonder Girl, being a "brought to life" mirror image of Diana) and Darkseid's kidnapping of Garridan Ranzz (the "hidden" twin of Garth and Imra), mutating him into Validus and throwing him into the past... I trust Geoff, but I hope it isn't too soon in the WaK Legionverse to be introducing 21st Century DC characters. We're repeating a messy history, it's just a new and improved future we're muckin' with!

With any luck they have to coordinate the appearence with Steve Wacker and Mark Waid. (that editorial oversight thing) I'll bet there's a "catch" to it that keeps it out of the Legion continuity for the time being.

PG was an adult when first introduced. This is why I think the Laurel Kent idea works best since it doesn't necessarily tie her to the Legion, but may link her to their era.

Wasn't the whole point of this half arsed reboot because legion continuity was too convoluted for new fans and now you want to throw Powergirl in the mix. This could be the moment people reflect on in a few years as to when the reboot when to poop. I thought the reboot was a sales issue rather than any idea that it was convoluted. It was anything but that.

Looks cool. Note the very Silver Age winged person in the one shot. Error or retcon?

So in a brilliant piece of whatever you want to call it in under 6 months they have brought the JSA in the mix (One of the other main offenders for convoluted continuity) and made PG (The single most convoluted character ever) a member. Sales were down but all these new readers who might not know or might not want to pick up another book will now have this thrown at them.

Chemical King? He wasn't exactly part of the book, at least not with super-powers. I still don't think it was convoluted. You could make a case with the post-Crisis, pre-ZH Legion, but not with the reboot Legion. My take is that something closer to the original Legion was desired since it was definitely a sale success.

'cause Stu asked for it. Well, Arachne asked too.
I don't see the Preview right off but if you read through the thread I think it might be linked in one of the posts.

During a medical examination, Dr. Mid-Nite reiterated to Power Girl that her abilities were neither Kryptonian nor mystical in nature.
Power Girl then got into a destructive battle with Garn Daanuth, the brother of the Atlantean sorcerer Arion — that is, until he disappeared...and the JSA stated that he was never there!
Three mysterious figures were summoned and told "it's time to meet your Power Girl"...and were then revealed to be Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy of the Legion of Super-Heroes!
So what gives? Is JSA Classified out already because I'm sure it's not listed until next week?

The cover of JSA:Classified #4 might also provide some clues. Hint: he remembers the pre-Crisis universe.

And now I'll have to go get it since I didn't bother ordering one. Originally posted by Tromium: The cover of JSA:Classified #4 might also provide some clues.
Hint: he remembers the pre-Crisis universe.Has he showed up since the original Crisis? I don't recall seeing him since then. Hmm. More and more interesting.

Both times in the Joker: Last Laugh series. Once in the Secret Files and once in issue #3. That was in 2001. The Animal Man story took place 12 years prior to that.
