I'm hoping Vi will be the anti-Luornu.
If Lu is a snippy but tries to be friendly somewhat bumbling spy who everyone knows is working for Cos. Vi should be not too friendly, but supremely capable secret weapon for Brainy.
They could do a letter column together.

They could do a letter column together. This makes sense. Not that it would make me like her any, mind you, but it does make sense.

So Triplicate Girl could be voted most likely to betray her Legion?

It's not betrayal when you're working for the good guys!

I still think she's a sleeper agent for Lemnos, and quite possibly *his* source within the Legion.

There were some interesting comments on this topic, but I think there are really only two scientific laws that come into play in these kinds of discussions.
First is the Uncertaintly Principle, which states that the nature and extent of a character's powers are uncertain until disclosed by the plot of any single story. Sometimes Silver Age Supes was super-smart, sometimes not so much.
The second is Relativity. One character's powers are consistent relative to another character's powers. Mon-El is stronger than Superboy is stronger than Timberwolf. Maybe no one can punch through that wall, but if Timberwolf can do it, so can Mon and Superboy.
While it's always possible that we're going to find some expression of Garth's power that can overcome a given situation (like his rarely seen ability to manipulate electrical impulses rather than generating them) in a given story, I think it's safe to assert that Jo's invulnerabilty is able to block the flow of electrons from Garth to Jo's body. Even if there are a bunch of'em and they're angry. If it were a given that Garth's lightning could trump Jo's invulnerability Imra wouldn't have had to shut Jo's powers down before Garth blasted him.
Another interesting question is who's more invisible - Lyle while using his power, or Garth when he's behind Imra's skirt? (Joke! That's a joke!)

I love the way the letter pages are presented...having the Legionnaires sort of come out of character. I guess there's no love lost between Garth and Jo and I think that's a good thing for a reality check. Having so many young characters from different back grounds is bound to cause some tensions. Understandably not everyone is going to get along. Even in the original continuity (including back in the "innocent 60's"), not everyone in the LSH got along. Some characters never even interacted unless completely necessary, and that's one of the things I always loved about the LSH.
Long Live the Legion!!!

I'm starting to wonder if Brainy isn't messing things up on purpose in order to force the Legion to resolve its unity issues, and to make Cosmic Boy do exactly what he's doing--coming back in and decisively taking charge. I loved the scene where Cos tries to inspire the departing non-core team Legionairres, by the way; it shows how he probably rose to power in the first place. In weird sort of way, it reminded me of Jimmy Stuart's character in the movie, It's a Wonderful Life. As for Ultra Boy, he's really starting to tick me off. Worse still, I'm starting to worry that there might be a future villain lurking in his character. If nothing else, he needs a severe whomping--the sooner the better. And as for the letter column, it was terrific, but can anybody tell me what "Whoot" means? I'm just a poor Canadian Boy, and am in my late thirties yet. The only time I've heard the word was in that old song from the 90's, Whoot, there it is! Spaeking of the letters column, I think it'd be a kick to Misters Waid, Kitson, and Whacker make an apperance there on-panel, just like Giffen and Levitz once did. So, how about it fellas? Please! Pretty, pretty please!?
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

w00t is a cheer that apparently originated from online shooting games like Quake.
It may stand for "We Own the Other Team" or it may have no real meaning.

I had the exact same thought while reading #9. This Brainy, after all, prides himself on being able to predict actions, so it wouldn't be a stretch to see him manipulating things in order to achieve a specific goal.

Interesting theory. That would also explain why he chose who he did to send to Hellegyn; Ultra Boy, Shadow Lass and Element Lad are among those least likely to reaccept Cos as leader.

Gorgeous artwork, but this story is moving much too slowly, IMO. Pick up the pace please. And where the heck is Lone Wolf? Did the Legion forget about him? They haven't even mentioned him in some time. Shouldn't they be making a plan to go to his aid? And 3 pages of letter column to answer only a few letters is a big waste of space. I'd rather have a one page text column that answers several letters and 2 more pages of story.

The pace does really pick up next issue and is pretty frantic for the next three...you'll probably be asking for a chance to catch breath by the time we get to #14! We haven't forgotten about Brin - there is in fact a clue to what's happened to him in the artwork this issue -

Barry, you are such a tease! You realize don't you that now everyone here is going to have to run back hom immediately in order to find that clue to Brin's whereabouts?

Hi Barry,
Im wondering if there will be any additions to the ranks soon, because you might run out of characters to leave behind to take care of the headquarters. What is needed are a few more "powerhouses" - specifically more women. It's about time the Legionnettes get a chance to save the day instead of acting clingy and/or helpless...
Haven't read the new book yet, but maybe i need some encouragement in certain directions...
Cheers,
Brian

Barry must be going for the tease of the year award at the big cons next year. You got your work cut out for you Barry, usually the writers get that one.

Just a shot in the dark, but Elysion didn't have a trenchcoat when we first saw him. In fact,I can only think of one character in the series that's worn one so far...

I enjoyed this issue, loved the art and can't wait to see where it leads to next. Three planets? My guess is they are Titan, Colu and Khundia.
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

That, and the fact he's the only person sweating on the planet. Maybe makeup? But that brings up the question of how he's mimicking Elysion's power without Lemnos and the other two(only three to terraform a planet? How powerful are they?) TFers catching on. Come to think of it, Elysion does seem a bit weaker/limited in his power usage compared to his first appearance.

If that's really it, I don't think that Brin's masquerading as Elys, I thing Elysion is taunting the Legionnaires.
It'd be really unfortunate for him if that's the case and he happens across Projectra. She's going to be angry enough already...
