So there are two Supermen? A clone? Kon-El anybody?
I wonder if this has anything to do with the regular DCU?!

The Superman in this image is probably the 41st century clone. It looks a lot like Kon-el.

You realize what this is going to do for the 10 year old fans of season 1, don't you? They're just indoctrinating into the club each generation of LSH fandom comes to (though rarely this quick). Just imagine a veritable army of 6th graders saying, "THOSE GUYS ARE NOT MY LEGION!! I Demand TBTB Re-Un-Semi-Revert-Boot the toon."

Gotta start those Legion factions up young. None of us are getting any younger and we need the next generations to carry on.

Whew! Michael Cornachhia returns as Bouncing Boy! They've saved the second season from utter disaster. "Duo Damsel" means Ferro Lad's statue will have some company, but wouldn't it be great if it led to an animated Legion wedding on Mars?

Is the giant guy supposed to be Imperiex? Awesome!
And, uh, Timberwolf appears to be a greenish-blue. Yeah...just thought I should mention it.

I talked to a former colleague who now runs a comic book site. He said he read the first three scripts for season two. He didn't spoil much for me (like that card does -- I didn't see that any of the times I've been at the DC booth), but he did say the first two episodes Click Here For A Spoilerare the Imperiex episodes and are pretty different in tone from the first season, but the third episode is more in step.

Interesting...
Spoilers ahead I guess. I just returned from the Legion/Batman panel (the Legion was first and I didn't stay through all of the Batman half of it).
From what we were told, the second season will be a "reboot" of sorts which [paraphrasing] "Legion fans have grown accustomed to and expect it nowadays."
Season Two is a year and a half to two years after Season One. Lots of changes happened between that time including new members such as Chameleon Boy.
Imperiex plays out throughout the entire Season. Karate Kid will be there and appears in the opening among the known Legionnaires (Tyroc, Shrinking Violet, etc.) After I left, I wish I would have looked harder for Colossal Boy or Cosmic Boy, cause I can't recall either now.
Dream Girl gets an episode, but the Subs will only be in cameos this Season. The guy who voices Chameleon Boy was unfamiliar with the character and had to check the Internet for references. He's going to be the goofy, comedy relief character and not the more serious character in the comics. The Fatal Five and the LSV return (in fact in the clip shown it looked like they were teaming up?).
Everyone's looks appear to be tweaked. Brainy has short cropped hair for instance. Star Boy has a greater role and Matter-Eater Lad will be there as well.
In one of the episodes, Yuri slipped out that he voices "three" different Supermen. James Tucker said that the new "future" Superman has aspects of Mon-El and Kon-El and was created during a war as a killing machine. The series will have the Legion teaching Superman how to be a hero and not how to use his powers instead of the other way around like it was in the First Season. Also, this new Superman has several new powers, one of which looked like some sort of energy discharging from his hands.
Hopefully, others will fill in any gaps of my memories.

Sure, and we're also accustomed to root canal and expect hammer blows to the head. It doesn't sound like they're rebooting it so much as advancing the timeline, which may or may not be a bad thing. I'm glad to hear that Chuck is returning, though.

I don't mind Cham as comedy relief, but I'm not liking the implications for Chuck.
I'm betting he resigned after Ferro Lad's death. Maybe we'll get to see an episode where he comes back?

Oh! I should add that Tucker mentioned that the first season was sort of the Silver Age and the second season will be more in the vein of the Bronze Age. Including an appearance by Grimbor.
And Dawnstar! She's coming up too! Invisible Kid was mentioned as well. Yuri said he's appeared in every episode (the crowd laughed).

Hmm... still worried about them revamping it when it was working so well, but I'm still optimistic about it!

Yeah. I usually avoid spoilers because they often sound worse than they really are.

I rather have Chuck or Tenzil as the comedy relief. Cham I like more on the serious side.

Some of that news makes me more excited about this series than I was...
* A Dream Girl episode? Great! * Star Boy and Matter-Eater Lad getting bigger roles? Coolio! * Dawnstar, Invisible Kid, Karate Kid and Grimbor all coming up? Awesome! (I wonder if it'll be Lyle or Jacques though?) * A haircut for Brainy? About time! (Now if only they can strip the robo away I'll be happy with his character.) * Moving ahead in time rather than rebooting? I'm optimistic. (I would've liked to see another season of them at the age they were but this could be cool.)
I'm still not sold on Imperiex though. I wish somebody would've asked them why they went with that villain instead of one of the legions of suitable alternatives from within the Legion's own universe. Hopefully he'll be dispatched within the first few episodes and then they can move on to something else.

I interviewed one of the second season directors (brandon vietti) who couldn't say too much but I got some stuff that I'll have to go over and write a full article on. I don't have to read all the posts here right now (so these might be duplicates) but highlights: - Grimbor and Dark Circle as villains - More Starboy and Invisible Kid - Karate Kid, Dawnstar, Matter-Eater lad - A Dream Girl epsiode - Chameleon as Eddie Haskel as a shapeshifter - Cham jokes about being an agent to Clark - 1-2 years have passed - Cham already joined the team during the gap - New costumes for Starboy and Blok (at least in preview) - Brainy looks older - has spikey hair.

James Tucker said right up front that Imperiex "sucked" in the comics. They wanted to use a galaxy-threatening villain who didn't have a lot of baggage (like Darkseid) so they could do pretty much anything they wanted with him, without fans getting upset. The Legion's got a few of those, but oh, well. He is right about the baggage though.

Thanks for the spoilers, guys! There's a panel summary up at CBR. A few things that stood out: Tucker said. "They're closer to 17-18ish now [in Season 2]. So, that makes them 15-16ish now? I figured they were younger than Clark (college grad) but, except for Brainy and Phantom Girl, not quite *that* young. Chameleon Boy is joining the show as a regular character. "He's there because his dad kind of funds the Legion," Tucker admitted. Dad. R.J. Brande. Assassination. Flashback. Hopefully. As for dream LSH stories to adapt, Tucker would go for Earthwar or the Heroes of Lallor How cool would animated Earthwar be? The new season premieres September 25th on the Kids WB. Mark your calendars. Computo is also mentioned for Season 2, not a huge surprise. Poor Trip.
