I especially love the Teen Titans Annual #1 cover and especially hate the LSH cover #9.

The LOST in white, at least the humanoid Legionnaires, look pretty amazing against the Titans in black.

Why does Dream Girl have to be spread-eagle with pointy things on her legs?
That's so degrading, imo.

I hope they aren't going down the Brainy/Dreamy route again. It was awful the first time. I like Nura and Thom and it annoyed me that the threeboot dropped Nura's interest in Thom entirely after Waid left.

Thanks for pointing out that the Titans are in black and the Legion in white. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my eyes because they couldn't seem to focus properly. smile

I agree with you about the cover. I am being quite serious when I say that we at Legion World should do everything in our power to have DC pull the cover. Lightle is an intellegent, talented artist who seems to respect us here. If he offers an alternative cover DC might change it. We need to keep talking about this.

Mon-El was my first thought as well, but Cos leaving after the "Founder's Night" story makes a lot of sense as well.

The more info I get on the Culling, the less I want to read it. I suppose I'll have to get the LL issue, though, just to void having a gap in my collection.

I think the departing member is Mon-El. I haven't heard anything about the Founder's Night story other than speculation over who's dancing with who, though, so maybe there's some inside info I'm not privy to.

Finally, you can add my voice to the chorus objecting to the Legion cover. Talk about a desperate attempt to generate sales! urk urk

Maybe on Founder's Night, the fallout from Imra mindwiping Rokk (which has been hinted to have some long-term effects, such as being responsible for his inability to have a healthy long-term relationship) will finally happen.

Gosh, put Dreamy in a manly action pose, rescuing a helpless dude-in-distress, and her 'classic' outfit looks a bit awkward. Has the time finally come for a Barry Kitson-esque redesign for Dreamy, complete with pants?

Somehow I can't help but think if it were a male character striking that manly action pose the tentacle would be, shall we say, less strategically placed.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Superman's certainly not immune to having a giant fuzzy pink tentacle shooting out of his butt and heading for his crotch. smile

The only solution appears to be to walk around all prim and proper, with one's legs pressed tightly together, as those tentacles seem to go right for the naughty bits!

Well, I don't think that the Action cover is nearly as explicit as the Legion cover is.
Even if the metal tentacles weren't in that drawing, her pose is still really pornish.
frown
ugh
But, comics want to be elivated in stature.
tongue

And there's nothing wrong with a little decorum.
One doesn't have to be prim and proper all of the time, but one doesn't need to be in a brown paper covering all of the time, either.

anyone feels that the tentacles may belong to Quislet as he may be the one who got abducted by Dominators as well? and then Dominators experimenting on Quislet? after all, they travel through dimensions. ?

Whatever the tentacles are, they want Brainy, and Dreamy happens to be the one to (attempt to) save him.

Perhaps it has something to do with Brainy's time-travel research? Brainy opens a time portal, or something reaches through time to stop Brainy (or snatch him up to work on it's own time travel shenanigans).

Dreamy and Brainy sure have been appearing a lot together since Levitz returned.

1) my guess its Cosmic Boy quitting to go get a life with Lydda. He does need to have priorities.

2) wondering why the Dominators want Dreamy and Brainy...and my guess why the legion isn't rescuing them is probably because it would cause an incident and war between the UP and Dominators outright. HERE COMES THE LEGION RESCUE/ESPIONAGE SQUADS!!!!

Don't think the LSH cover is that bad, and I'm sensitied by railing all week about women's access to birth control and the Virginia anti-women laws. Dreamy is spread kind of wide, but clearly in action and not seduction or violation. She is trying to rescue Brainy, who looks helpless and horrified, which is more offensive to his character than the position of Nura's legs is to hers. Having said all that, kudos for standing up for Dream Girl's dignity and general good taste and respect for women!

...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

An interesting idea. The cover might not be showing an attack, but an attempt by Quis to get help.

Still amused that it's Brainy playing 'damsel in distress' and having to be saved by an equally non-traditional 'action hero.'

I can't find monthly/weekly solits on the DC site anymore. I hate it when that take away or hide features I'm used to using. I hate change.
