Scott.

After we spoke I looked on e bay too and found another set of issues 2 and 3 for sale so bought them as well. Unfortunatly only #2 had the post cards attached.

Turns out from looking at the interiors that a lot of the Legion information came from a friend of mine in APA247. Small world eh?

Iwill ask him if the company made any more after #3.

Darden, my offer still stands. You can have my extra copy of #1 along with the postcard for it. Since it only has one card for the issue and you have the cards for #2 I'll probably give that extra card to someone else (Gary? smile )

I was wondering if anyone we knew was involved when I saw a lot of stuff seemed to be from fans. I also forgot to mention that #2 and #3 also have reprints from DC's Who's Who with various Legionnaires. I'll probably wind up scanning all the issues just so I have them in my electronic collection as well.

Any info you can find out about books beyond #3 would be great. Even if they didn't do any more Legion cards I'd still like to get #4 for the conclusion of the Soul-Thief story.

Ok. This topic will be a catch all for the obscure Legion appearances here and there. Unfortunately, there is no previous topic that fits a general AR theme.

Reboot has brought it to my attention that CABLE/DEADPOOL #36 contains the line "Go all Reep Daggle..."

Also, this week there's a pin up of Chemical King in MODERN MASTERS VOLUME TEN: KEVIN MAGUIRE.

Please feel free to add random sightings below...

This is not from a comic book, but in the essay "The Story of My Body," author Judith Ortiz Cofer writes, "No wonder I read Wonder Woman comics and had Legion of Super Heroes [sic] daydreams."

Very well here is my contribution. [Updated with actual date]

Last Thursday's (January 18, 2007) edition of the National Post. (I wouldn't have noticed but for the fact that someone bought the last Globe and Mail) reprinted this article from www.popcultureaddict.com.

Heh heh! I read this article, too--except in the Toronto Star, I think--and also thought about mentioning it on this board somewhere. smile

Thanks, LL!

One time I googled "Saturn Girl" and I found one of my photomanipulations of her. It was used on a site where the guy was basically roasting the sexy uniforms worn by the Legion. He was pretty brutal to our poor Cos. Oh, he also made a comment about how it's great that on the internet, hormonal 14 year olds create photomanips of supermodels into superheroines. I think I'll take that as a compliment! (Though I know it's not.)

I'll have to do that search again and find the link.

Well, I did that search again on both google and yahoo and didn't find it. Must be gone. I'm pretty sure I didn't imagine it.

Yes, Scott, that's it. Boy, he sure let ME have it, huh?

"lonely virginal fanboy"

and

"furtive 12 year old internet masturbator"

Yeesh!

He's stupid!

That's totally Rebecca Romijn, not Heide Klum!

Man, I can't believe my man, Aqualad, made the 10 Worst super heroes list. There are WAY lamer characters than him. Such as

Bumblebee
Joker's Daughter
Hornblower
Porcupine Pete
Doubleheader
Quislet
Catspaw
Tyroc

What was that surfer dude's name that the Legion met once? Add him to the list too.

I was about to suggest Jamm, but he was more of a skateboarder as I recall. That's one issue I try to block out of my mind.
