Well, if the adult Legion is to appear in its own title and make a big comeback, as it does in Action, I'm sure they'd have a very good writer and artist for it for the first few issues.

good point. I've been assuming Johns' concepts and commitment to following through were strong enough that he's remain... but that was an assumption on my part.

I think it's safe to say that many of us have made the same assumption Kent. Johns/Frank as the new team for the adult Legion book. That's the way I've visualized it too. I wouldn't mind some other artist - a great artist - though, as long as the writer IS Johns until the new title "takes flight" (in transwarp speeds).

The following is an excerpt from Grant Morrison's interview in Wizard's "Best of 2007" issue. I think it ties into the 50th Legion anniversary. I hope a special Legion appearance in All-Star Superman won't be the only anniversary thing DC will publish but I, for one, am all for it.

"WIZARD: You're also getting close to the endgame of All-Star Superman. Have plans for the story changed as you and Frank Quitely worked on each issue?

MORRISON: No. The weird thing with that is that the entire story was worked out with a lot of detail. It was the first time I've ever done anything in that kind of Alan Moore method where you sit down and plan everything from beginning to end before you even start. Nothing's changed in it at all. I even worked out the 12 covers in a little notebook before Frank started, and they've all worked out exactly the same. The whole thing is a big story—it's Luthor's final revenge. The last two cliffhanger pages are great, I think. But there will be some more after. We're planning to do some All-Star specials with other artists.

WIZARD: Are the specials going to fit into the continuity of the previous 12 issues?

MORRISON: Yeah. It'll be the world of All-Star Superman, but you might get to see what it was like in the first year of his career or an adventure with the Legion of Super-Heroes—that kind of thing. There were a bunch of stories that I had left over because I knew we were only going to do 12. I had an idea for an All-Star Superman/Batman book, and a bunch of ideas for that ended up feeding into the notion of doing these specials."

I can *definitely* get behind a Legion in Morrison's All-Star Superman continuity!

Grant Morrison seems to imply that we *will* see at least one Legion adventure in All-Star. I hope the artist will be Frank Quitely, though. His art has a..."neo-classic" look that's just perfect for a Silver Age Legion story.

Zonkers! Is it too early to start demanding the cancellation of all other versions of the Legion and their replacement with Grant Morrison's version? wink

I wouldn't mind an All-Star Legion maxi (or ongoing series) at ALL! But I wouldn't want the other versions, especially the one in Action, cancelled.
If the Legion is going to appear in All-Star Superman I hope it won't be for one issue only. Too little of a good thing!

well there was a give away poster that I've seen on the wall of some stores which feature jim and myself as the new creative team. I haven't gotten a copy myself, but I know it's out there.

there's been a few Newsarama interviews with Shooter, and a few with "lightning saga" Geoff Johns. has anyone else seen anything else anywhere? have i missed something?
hello? DC editors... Marketing Dept.?
I wonder how big an event it will be. next year you have final crisis(which will be probably be followed by Absolute Crisis with citron), the Batman film has had an excellent viral campaign going on, and I am sure there will be comic tie-ins to the film as well.

with all the other more high profile stuff happening, I wonder if the anniversary will be nothing more than a clip show extra sized issue.
