I'd like to see Laurel Gand again ... I think the more they keep Supergirl out of the future the better, and having Laurel around would take her place nicely ...
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...

Gand, yes; Kent, no; Supergirl, maybe occasionally. If Gand needs new power limitations, so be it. Would love to see Shakespeare and (occasionally) Kon. Any thoughts on a viable code name for Kent Shakespeare nee "Impulse"?

I would LOVE to see the Laurel Gand of the 5YL Legion. I think she would fit right in with this team...and she really is different personality-wise from Supergirl, it wouldn't be any more an issue having the two of them than it is having Mon-El and Superboy. I think the reboot Laurel Gand got off to a good start and had an interesting character evolution with overcoming her xenophobia, but they really lost the plot with her when they made her Sister Andromeda. Characters with strong religious convictions can be done well in comics (Firebird and Nightcrawler from Marvel come to mind), but it was so heavy-handed with Andromeda and so limiting to the type of stories they could use her in, I really think it ruined her. I wouldn't mind seeing Laurel Kent; I did think she had potential, and her power is of the Bouncing Boy/Matter-Eater Lad variety where she would be forced to use her wits to be effective. I like seeing that in my Legionnaires. I don't know if I would like seeing Laurels Kent AND Gand together though...I think Laurel Kent works a lot better if her status as an invulnerable woman is unusual amongst the other female Legionnaires, considering she has no other powers to back it up.

If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

Yeah, bring back Thunder! She was a cool character .... but I still think Laurel Kent the best legs of the bunch!

I like seeing that in my Legionnaires. Total agreement there. I love it when the powerset comes with some built-in limitations and the superhero has to get clever to be competitive (Laurel, for instance, would be best suited towards learning martial arts, and then using her Flight Ring to turn herself into a living missile, as she'll never have a ranged attack like heat vision or being able to chuck mountains at people). Granted, I'm not the biggest BB/ME-Lad fan, but I've never been a fan of the Supercousins or other in-your-face powerhouses, who could, in theory, handle most missions without even having to have to wait for the rest of the Legion to haul their slow-starship-needing-arses to the site of the fray. Mon-El, paradoxically, has always gotten away with this, because, regardless of his powers, he's always been so low-key and in-the-background compared to the more dynamic personalities of Superboy, Supergirl and, from what I've seen, Andromeda. Even if he could shove everyone aside and get the job done single-handedly, he never seems like the sort of gloryhound who *would* do such a thing. He always felt like he was holding himself back that way. I never really saw Thunder in the few books I have that era, so I have no idea if she was all in your face better-than-thou, or more down-low.

I'd rather have Supergirl than any of the substitutes.

I have always wanted a Superman descendant to be in the Legion. I would like the Legion to use Laurel Kent but she should have all of Superman's powers. Another possible Kryptonian member is a reformed Dev-Em from the phantom zone.
