On another note, I HATE the Supergirl Annual cover. Dancing Saturn Girl creeps me out.

As far as who that is with Earth Man. I agree with most that it is either Shady or Night Girl (esp if Rokk's decision is related to this). If it is a guy, I think it is Sun Boy.

Adventure cover is cool. Superboy carrying the tractor, brainy deflecting something...although, I have to agree, some stories without the founders and Brainy in the past would be nice. How about a Ultra Boy, Mon El Superboy adventure.

Legion cover looks to be Shady. My guess is this will be used to blackmail E-Man into behaving himself.

Legacies cover is...interesting to say the least. I love Giffen, but that looks ugly.

Supergirl Annual cover is different, and I love the way it looks.

Did anyone else get a Michael Kaluta vibe from the Supergirl Annual cover?

I think the figure looks masculine, too.

Re: Supergirl Annual cover. The two big red lines in the top center, a couple of Gim's fingers? His gloves were red in the Adventure era and he was one of the only other early members not pictured on this cover...

Re: Legion cover. Obviously this is supposed to shock us. Who would sleep with Earthman?? The two rings are indicating he's sleeping with another Legionnaire, and I can't see DC making it a man either. I immediately assumed he had used his powers to trick someone into bed. If he used Jeckie's powers, his partner may not even realize they had slept with him, they would assume it was their regular bunkmate. Another think this makes me think of in all this rambling is the fact that none of the female Legionnaires are from Earth (IIRC), so Earthman would be violating his own warped sense of purity over aliens. I guess that is nothing new in human history though with the number of slave owners who bedded their female slaves or the Nazi soldiers who would rape Jewish women.

Anyway, let's change the subject...


Re: DC Legacies. Uck! I hate Giffen's artwork more than ever. Do we have to waste the Legion's appearance by having him be drawing it? Happy to have more Legion presence in the DCU, but not thrilled about the artwork. Besides, he's probably only going to revisit Karate Kid's death again anyway.

I think the two lines are Gim's feet.

I'm enjoying the art on all four covers. I'm not sure that's happened before. What am I going to complain about for the next 30 days?

Re: LSH #6. Maybe DC's growing up. Wonder Woman has a uniform that can be worn in most restaurants and doesn't beg for dollar bill-stuffing. Perhaps a same-sex relationship can be prominently featured...? Or maybe its the only method Earth-Man has for permanently absorbing Tromite powers...?

Looking at the bright side... if Geoff Johns were still writing the Legion, we'd all be speculating not only about who would sleep with Earth Man, but whether or not that person still has his or her head!

Oh wow, the cover of the Legacies variant is terrible! I cannot believe Giffen drew that. I could draw better than that as a teenager for crap's sakes!
