THANK YOU Mystery Lad. This is what I've been saying for months now ever since this franchise became <span style="font-size: 16px;">Rokk, Imra, Garth, Querl</span> <span style="font-size: 6px;">and the Legion of Super-Heroes.</span>

I became a fan of this book because it had a large cast of characters who all got spot-lighted more or less evenly - not to read about the adventures of 3 or 4 increasingly-dull characters while everyone else stands around in the background.

That Adventure Comics cover doesn't excite me one iota.

Looking forward to the contents of the issue though, as well as all the other Legion goodness this month. Especially the excellent-so-far mini Legacies - though needless to say I will be picking up the Perez cover. Giffen's art is beyond a joke now IMO.

Great to see Amy Reeder-Hadley getting more mainstream work on Supergirl too. Anyone who hasn't seen her work needs to pick up the EXCELLENT first trade of Madame Xanadu STAT. Some stunning artwork in there and a fabulous story too!

I can't believe Paul has got me as interested in Earth-Man as I am in only two issues but here we are and I can't wait to see who he's sleeping with here. I echo everyone else and think it's Tasmia too but would love a curve-ball and find out it's actually Vi or Ayla or Dirk or heck, even Tusker!

Personally I would prefer more about the other members, even if Garth is my favorite.

Has there ever been a prior Legion-related cover in all its various eras that heavily implied fornication? Is this a Legion first? I'm drawin' a blank here!

If not, someone post the priors on this thread, STAT!

You're right! No matter who it turns out to be, that is a groundbreaking cover!

Does "Brainy's Lucky Day" count? Not so much visually, but the great big caption implied that Brainy scored.

Well, assuming it's female, who are the possibilities?

Imra-- Unlikely, especially given the uncertainty about the fate of her kids. Though she has been a major player in the story, and has been known to cheat in other boots in times of emotional stress.

Lu-- Extremely unikely.

Tinya-- ditto.

Kara-- don't see this happening.

Vi-- I suppose she's currently unattached.

Nura-- probably not.

Ayla-- Hmm... maybe "shocking" is a clue? Apparently back with Timber Wolf, though.

Jeckie-- Another unattached, but I can't imagine it happening.

Shady-- seems like a strong candidate, though I can't see it being made plausible storywise.

Dawnstar-- Unless she becomes "Bounty" between now and then, it's not her.

Mysa-- Extremely unlikely.

Lydda-- maybe, but seems unlikely. Relationship status still unclear, right?

Yera-- I seriously doubt it.

Jenni-- Well, she's unattached.

Maybe. Realistically, at least four years should've passed over the course of the reboot (about two pre-Blight, the Legion Lost/Legion Worlds year, about a year with DnA's run). Plus whatever time they've spent in limbo. So, even if she was 14 to begin with, she'd be at least 18 now.

Well, it's comics after all, so who really expects anyone to age in a realistic fashion?

How old are the Young Justice kids now? I imagine she'd be treated as the same age as them.

In general what would make the most sense to me is something like the following:

New Earth Legion-- early 30s (same age as Superman)
Earth-247 Legion-- early 20s
Earth-Prime Legion-- teens

Assuming it's male:

Garth- not in this lifetime.

Rokk- probably not although he's kind of available, but he's the LEADER, so no.

Jan- Jan's not gender oriented, he's personality oriented, so I'd say no, since EM is a nutso.

Cham- a definite possibility, imo. He's part of the ES, after all.

Chuck- ahhh, doesn't look like his back side, I'm afraid.

Tenzil- maybe, he's another E Squader.

Gates- nope, .

Brainy- Querl's emotionally weirded out enough to transfer his Kara emotions to another blonde.

Gim- nope, his wife would kill him.

Lar- nope, although the clothes we see match his look.

Brin- he'd be perfect, especially since he and Ayla can't last. He's about to enter a 'wolf' phase, isn't he?

Wildfire- nope, but I'd like to see him burn the creep.

Jo- nope, Tinya would kill him.

Troy- he's not attached to anyone and we don't know what his orientation is, so a possible, although he IS from Earth, but we don't know that it's related to EM's xenophobia, really.

Jacques- possible since we've never seen him with Drura in this boot.

Thom- he's not there yet, is he, but he might show up by then? He might find it to be his duty and Nura might be out of his life now.

Dirk- what's that syndrome attached to kidnappers, Stockholm Syndrome?

Brek- maybe his ice arm is why EM is frowning.

Quislet- ummm?

Marla Latham- a possibility, since it would give him access to the Brande corporations.

Tasmia's a good candidate, but maybe she's there for altruistic purposes. :rolleyes: Spying on Earth Man?

It could be a non-legionnaire, with a fake ring, or even a new member. Where's Spider Girl these days?

Where is Kirt's Green Lantern ring - could it have morphed into a Legion ring to disguise/protect itself? I don't know why would they take their rings off anyways, apart from the fact that it makes a nice picture.

Oh, I briefly thought about suggesting that maybe it wasn't a LSH ring at all, but an LSV ring, and that it would be Saturn Queen, but that seemed a little too far-fetched.

Another far-fetched but groovy possibility:

Chemical King.

But that wouldn't apply to EM, he could care less about honoring the Legion.

Well, actually, we don't know that he's alive, but that would be an interesting way to resurrect him.

There's a couple of possible reasons for taking off the rings.

For one, since the rings have at least in part of monitoring function, they may have to take them off to turn them off for privacy.

It could also conceivably be somewhat dangerous to wear them in the heat of passion, given that they respond to willpower and that their affect can be influenced by the emotional state of the wearer.

It would certainly be a shocking panel. And more interesting than most of the other possibilities, imo.
