Why not have new art for Jimenez's first cover?

The cover of LSH#10 is very exciting!

I suspect it's not the final cover, but a placeholder. Of course, if the cover's not ready at solicit time, that sets off my "possible delay" warning bells.

I hope nothing bad happened to Yera before whatever's happening in #10.

Yeah, and I hope that dragon thing trying to bite Cham doesn't turn out to be his long-lost sister! Just my prediction.

Well, if it is, at least he can bond with Garth and Ayla over their family problems later on.

I think it's gonna be his mom, whom Brande kinda abandoned with the kid on Durla, when he flew off to change the universe.

(Granted, there's probably continuity somewhere that indicates a different story about Cham's mom, but I can't imagine it being anymore of an impediment to this 'retroboot' than Imra's living parents or Garth's dead ones...)

I've been re-reading my Wonder Woman collection (about 35 years worth of issues), and coincidentally made it up to the beginning of the Jimenez run the day this solicitation was posted. Lanning inked Jimenez on Wonder Woman, and results were stunning. I'm thrilled to see them working together on the Legion Academy series.

I thought that the woman who raised him was Brande's "egg-sister," in the current parlance.

Yeah, Cham was raised by his aunt. Can't remember the story on his mother, however.

Supposedly Mom had rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible before Dad left Durla.

What the heck does that mean?

Zhay Daggle died giving birth to Liggt, while Ren birthed Reep. When he left Durla, the twins were left with Zhay's sister, Aunt Ji who apprently adopted the Daggle surname.

Isn't the whole hermaphroditic Durlans impregnating each other stuff 5YL? I think pre-5YL, Cham's mother just died giving birth to him, or shortly thereafter.

Last I heard, Ma Daggle died from the same Yorggian Fever that froze Dad into human form. But EDE points out that I could be mistaken.

I think you may be right about the Yorggian fever being the canonical pre-5YL cause of death.
