Over the years, there have been many homages to various classic covers. Over on the DC Archives board, we had been listing some for Action Comics #1 and Superman Comics #1, here: {EDIT: old link no longer works, deleted} How about homages to the cover of Adventure Comics #247? Can we get a list of them? Below are the ones I could remember, which wasn't that many. Does anyone have any other good ones to add? I know there are more. The original: Adventure #247 (April 1958) Adventure #247 Superman (1st series) #147 (August, 1961) Superman #147 Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #29 Legion Cover (1999?) Comic Book Price Guide #29

If you go to www.lightninglad.com (run by Legion World's own Lightning Lad) he has a section with the ones you've got plus a few more, including a Simpsons version.

I actually have even more but there just isn't enough time in the day anymore. There is even a Savage Dragon homage that I still need to upload. Here is a direct link to my homage page.

Thanks. I should have remembered that Impulse cover. I've also found a Don Rosa homage using the Disney Ducks. Unfortunately, I can't find a big image of it, but here's a dinky one (it's on the top row)

Man, I would have loved to have gotten my hands on that one! Here's another. It is really a re-interpretation done by Bob McLeod for Kevin McConnell (who posts here).

That Impulse cover always makes me laugh. The dotLegion tribute from Annual #4 and one of my own that I manipulated years ago and recently reworked slightly

I actually have the L.E.G.I.O.N. one on my site but I think I'll have to add your rendition too YK. Too good to pass up.
I've already started searching/asking around about the Don Rosa one. Making a little headway. Who knows. I may be able to actually get a copy for myself.

I also did one to commemorate the aftermath of ZERO HOUR (though I didn't see it posted at Lightning Lad's site). I do have it posted at my own site, though, in the KLORDNY section. Follow the link, then hit "Gallery"-- it's then under the "Misc. Art" section... http://www.webspawner.com/users/zodiaccomics/klordny.html

Don't think I've ever seen that one Prof. Definitely a fine addition to the theme.

These are cool. Isn't there one with the current Superboy and another with Impulse? (er i mean Kid Flash*yuck*) I shall try to find them. I am hoping for a homage cover to one of the Levitz/Giffen covers Maybe v3 #1?

Fatter Eater Lad. That's classic! I suspect we'll be seeing a new forum user name soon. Might as well icon-ize those faces now.

In the other thread about DC heroes who would be rejected by the Legion, Batman was mentioned, and then this cover was produced by Scott. It was good enough that I thought it should be shared in this thread too.
