Love the new costume--I think that's the best combination of her color schemes we've ever seen. And she's second to only Tinya as the prettiest Legionnaire now!

Saturn Girl *must* know about her. She might be small, but she still has brainwaves.

Chameleon's ability to detect lifeforms should have brought her to his attention, too.

Phantom Girl apparently knows about her, per issue #3. But if PG knows about her, presumably so would the other very early members, e.g., Lightning Lad, Triplicate Girl and Cosmic Boy, which kind of detracts from her role as a "secret weapon". Maybe they just think she's been lying low, and are not aware of her active partnership with Brainy.

no not that one...I was referring to the Legion cover #13 where all members were in silhouette....I see Violet way back farther on the left side....her hairstyle matches to that.

Before I stated "Nice proportions though. Kinda like those of a "small" person."

I am going out on a bit of a limb here, but bear with me.

From this cover solicit, it appears that Vi (as I will call here for ease) is a bit more realistic when it come to the build of a young woman. I am guessing that when she is at full size she is closer to a 5' person.

It really appears that maybe Barry used a photo reference, or many of a 5' foot ish younger woman here.

She does not have the build of shall we say a 12 year old, but that of a 18 year old, with a little meat on her bones, maybe a more athletic build to her.

Personally if this is the case, I like the realistic ness of it. I personally am not a fan of the Turner type Supergirl drawings where she is, well beautiful, just not realistic, similar to Barbie.

Maybe that is why I like Barry's art so much. It is such a realistic style. Not Anime, Timm like, or any of the many others.

So while you might not like the more "stacked" version of Vi, I think that she is more in line with what Barry has been doing. Kind of similar to Colossal Boy, the giant features, not necessarily the most attractive guy, but more realistic.

It's about time! Over a year to see my favorite legionnaire and .......she's supposed to be cockrum black and green? Hate the pur. and green hopefully this is just temporary! Some of us have been waiting since the 80's to see Salu in her black and green! Barry...what's up????

I actually like this color scheme better. It stands out and makes you take notice more than the green/black version.

Good discussion about Vi's new appearance, guys. Just to be clear, I wasn't advocating an anorexic fashion model's look for her, but rather, was just noting that she hasn't traditionally been depicted as being large-breasted.

Personally, I'd like to see a wider variety of body-shapes, as was suggested on the old thread that EDE provided a link to. For that matter, I echo 'Lil Rhino's sentiment that greater racial diversity should be depicted, too, and really laud the creative-staff for making Star Boy a person of colour and Karate Kid an Asian.

Keep up the good work, Barry; my previously posted quibbles with Vi's appearance in no way mean that I am unhappy with your art--believe me: it rocks big-time!

also, if I were a LSH member(cold would be a cool power to have), Invisible Boy and Atom Girl would freak me out the most. I mean come on, those two could always go around and spy on you and how would you know?

lastly, in issue #2 page 9, panel 1 who is that guy? it been bugging me a for long time. my paranoia says he is important to the plot, or perhaps he was just a random Legion fan? any ideas?

I like her body shape. She has that "sexy spy" look. In Legion it's tough because they stress them so much as teens...you don't want to stress how sexy they are much. Then you get into that gray area that many TV shows do. Having skinny young teenagers and sexing them up. Something else else I don't care for.

Maybe Vi isn't as young as the others.

I'd bet it was just a random little "l" Legionnaire and not a core member. The true mysteries remain the unidentified trio (not Brin) from LSH #1 page 15 and the one ready to transport to Orando in #6 page 18 panel 1.

I'm very happy to see Vi back. Also glad to read that she'll show up before issue 14. I'm not sure about the purple/green combination. Maybe if there was a little more blue added to both tones it would mesh better.

Jorg-EM, I've wondered if she might be asian as well. We haven't seen anything yet that would rule it out. Personally, I think it would be neat.

Okay thats absolutely gorgeous. Its got a real Modest Blaize vibe going for it! That kinda very 1970's spy caught mid turn with the big sci-fi guns.

Kudos to you barry. Youve now surpassed Steve Lightle as my all time favourite Legion Artist and you're second only to the marvellous Brian Bolland as the greatest comic artist of all time!

I think the purple and green combination are such natural colors for Vi that I can't believe they haven't been used sooner. Violet flower = Purple / Leaves = Green. Barry...you're so literal...I like it.

Boy, I for one can't wait to see the final colors on this one.
