My understanding is Colossal Boy and Invisible Kid will be released sometime this summer (which I am psyched about because they were my two favorite Legionnaires as a kid).
a) Does anyone know which characters are up next? It seems to me that the chronological order (from Adventure) is off somewhat and that Triplicate Girl, Phantom Girl, Shrinking Violet, Supergirl, Bouncing Boy, M-E Lad and Dream Girl should have come before Ferro Lad and T-Wolf.
b) Are these figures making DC any money - will they continue them through the Levitz era, and beyond?

I would say that they are making money in that DC continues to produce them. However, anactdoatal evidence indicates thatt they are not making a TON of moey as the post founders figures are of generally inferiour craftmanship. The quality of the first three figures would have remained had sales warrented.

I have heard that, since the more recent figures share so many of the same molds, we will see all the boys before we get any girls.

Interesting! I did notice the guys are now all the same mold, with just the heads and a belt (and in the case of Cos, T-Wolf, Cham and Gim those arm do-hickeys) the difference. I can see where the differentiation between the ladies will need to be more creative.

Still, I am enjoying collecting them and hope to get them all!

Figures of Tinya, Luornu and Vi would be nice smile !

I'd like to see them get to the Subs one day, although that doesn't seem likely...

I'd also like to see Dream Girl and Light Lass and Shadow Lass.

If they make Triplicate Girl, I'll probably buy three!

I've resisted these so far (I have TOOOOOO many toys) but if they made a Matter Eater I'd swallow one down in a second!

I think a Sensor Girl would be keen.

From Toyfare #84's DC Direct Photo Guide, the "complete" Legion figures thus far -

But they seem to have forgotten that Superboy and Supergirl were members -

She's not. She's holding Garth's hand and I'm pretty sure that Timber Wolf's other hand is on Imra's behind. The hussey!

Did I say that? laugh

Also, is it just me or does it look like somebody forget to add in Sun Boy originally? That's a cut and paste job if I've ever saw one.

There's a poll for the second Crisis wave at www.wizarduniverse.com -

Now that ToyFare #84 has broken the news about DC Direct's upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths toy line and its first wave (featuring Monitor, the Kara Zor-El Supergirl, adult Earth-2 Robin, Psycho Pirate and Harbinger) our thoughts immediately went to the second wave! We're guessing big baddie Anti-Monitor is pretty much a given for the line-up, but who else would you want to see? Pick from the list below or give us your own choice!

Wow, Harbinger. After what happened to her in the last issue of Superman/Batman, I wouldn't expect an action figure.

Also, I think there is a thread around here somewhere, from the early days of LW, which posts an excerpt from a Newsarama or Pulse article, which says that they will be starting on the Legion gals next... does anyone remember this?

I think that they are all photoshoped in. Note that Colossal Boy and Invisible Kid, who have not been released yet, appear out of scale to the other figures. Brainy also look like the early promo photos of his figure and not so much like the released version.

I suspect this is how they got Imra to stand on her own... they airbrushed out the base.

Found it... the following regarding female legionnaire action figures is excerpted from a Pulse article originally posted in September 2003:

"But even amidst all the big-gunnery, team fans shouldn't fret. Along with the aforementioned JLA waves, and the promise of four more Legionnaires (Ferro Lad, Timber Wolf, Invisible Kid, Colossal Boy) in '04, Brewer has indicated that more is afoot. The modern JSA is certainly in play, as are female Legionnaires and more Leaguers of various eras. He emphasized that nothing is ever absolutely off the table (expect maybe Ma Hunkel), and that the talented sculptors work to produce characters that make sense at that particular time. It's a careful balance, he says, between the needs of the market and the wants of the fans."

Having talked to these guys on several occasions, I can tell you that everything is pretty much in play if for no other reason than they can tell you, "We're thinking about it" and not be lying.

I don't blame them. They're limited in the amount of stuff they can put out in a year, and getting access to the Supes and Bats stuff gives them an opportunity to make more bread. Which helps keep them afloat so that I can get that Adam Strange figure. It just means I have to wait a little longer for things. Given that I never expected to see some of the stuff I have (like the JSA), I can do that.

As for evidence that they do listen to the fans, I should note the presence of that adult Earth-2 Robin figure. That's been one of the top requests on the DC Direct message board for a long time now and it seems like they've found a way to do it via this Crisis wave.

20 Dawnstars! Although Barry Allen (Flash) [Didn't everybody buy the 2-pack or the JLA set?], is winning the poll overall.

Since they're using the same mold for all the guys, how long are we gonna have to wait for the Bouncing Boy figure, then?

Just curious, but what happened to her?
