We've got some Legionnaires (Projectra, Condo, Tellus), a Lallorian hero (Duplicate Boy), a Super-Reject (Calorie Queen), a LSV member (Mekt), a Sub ('Plant Lad).

Any Wanderers or Super-Companions or Fatal Five or Super-Assassins to make the team?

I'm thinking we'll keep the membership at twenty-two for right now, and that gives us some space to eventually have tryouts.

Right now, let's get some more suggestions for possible invaders, and tomorrow I'll post the very first Rewrite the Legion Poll!

I'm thinking we'll use a series a one to two day polls to determine the course of the team.

I like the idea of something non-sentient or of a very atypical sentience.

In other words, not just beating on some bad guys.

Invaders;

Somahturan 'armies' composed of virally-infected / dominated populations of the worlds they've already conquered with germ warfare?

Qwardians?

Thanagarians? Enhanced further in the last 1000 years, they have Dawnstar-like abilities of space-travel, and descend upon worlds in flocks that darken the skies, pillaging like space vikings.

The worlds of the New Vegan Imperium (Warlords of Okara, Tamaranians, Psions, etc. with members of Tigor's race, Broot's race, etc. forming a sort of 'evil UP'), led by an energy-wielding X'Hal possessed 'priestly' caste?

An unlikely alliance between Durla, Dominators and Khundia, re-envisioned as the Changelings, Vorta and Gem'Hadar from Deep Space Nine (but switched around, so that the Dominators are enslaved support-staff to the Khunds, who use Dominator research and technology to cyber-enhance and super-empower themselves, and the Durlans have special devices implanted in their bodies that leave them in a constant state of rage and pain, being used as near- mindless 'warbeasts' by the Khunds, and possibly becoming the enemies worst nightmare if they are ever freed from these devices...)?

The Radiant Alliance, composed of the armies of the Emerald Empress, Ruby Regent, Topaz Tyrant and Sapphire Sovereign, all magically-empowered and seeking to restore the primacy of magic to a universe that they feel has been 'ruined' by the dominion of technology and the rise of equality and democracy over the 'old ways' of monarchy? The only thing keeping them from dominating the universe with their mystical powers (against which technology-using foes don't even know how to anticipate, let along defeat), is their constant bickering and in-fighting over which of them is the best suited to be the dominant ruler, once they conquer the universe. Their base worlds are those associated with mysticism, including the Sorcerer's World, Naltor, Talokk VIII and... Orando! (Jeckie hopes to form the Legion to help win back her planet from it's conquerer!)

Coluans, following in the footsteps of their most famous member, Brainiac, as the new Computer Tyrants?

The Green Lantern Corps, led by a ruthless and draconic council composed of both Oans and Controllers, seeking to impose their will upon the rest of the universe 'for it's own protection.'

Alomg similar lines, an army of wraith-lovers, who can possess sentients and make them fight each other (AND wear awful fan-designed costumes... OOOPS!!)

Invaders:

Athramites- they've come to redecorate "tacky" ole' Earth?

Giant Children from another dimension- want to use Earth as a stage for their giant marionettes?

Heh-- love it!

Puppet planet was destroyed when the Sun-Eater ate that system's star, so they've decided on Earth as their replacement.

Since no one else has claimed it can I satisfy my unhealthy love for 60s-era yellow-robot-with-funny-arms Computo by voting in a mini version of him to fill Proty's old role as someone's pet? Maybe Danielle's?

Maybe we can steal a page from Skeets in 52 and have him be the secret mastermind of this Robotica invasion? Or he could be the good robot saved by Danielle from the bad ones during the invasion a la Reboot Proty? Or something else? So many possibilities? Who could Computo have a crush on in this continuity and maybe sacrifice himself for a few storylines down the track? Sugyn?

I think mini-Computo as Danielle's robopet is SO CUTE!

Reading your post, I pictured him being carried as a backpack with his metal arms as the straps! Too cool!

Invaders are the Tree Men of Arbo! Eventually it will be revealed that when they began space traveling, they became infected by space particles which has made them extremely drunk, and therefore aggressive!

I just asked Paul Levitz if he had any plans for "False-Pretences Lad" in his Adventure stories, and he said that it's not in the "current plan" but he said some obscure stuff does pop up.

Specifically he mentioned in his third Adventure book, that a certain someone shows up... <span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text">Zaryan the Conquerer!</span></span>

I like the Tree-Men of Arbo idea... but I always heard that their Bark is worse than their Bite..

They're a regular 30th century Doom Patrol. Maybe this universe's Thomas Keene should be in a wheelchair?

Back in the early days of the preboot, when folks where wondering how each classic Legionnaire might be re-introduced, I imagined Condo as a 9-12 year old quarentined on Medicus One because of the dangerous and, to that point, uncontollable nature of his powers. As a brilliant biochemist, Lile Norg would have had Condo under close observation, visiting between Legion missions.


Anyway, Lyle could appear in this Legion universe as Condo's doctor. If younger than the rest of the team, he might have chosen "King" as an immature way to one-up the other founders, a "Lord" and a "Princess." In fact, his constant harping on his rank might be part of way Mekt & Jekkie have laregely abandonded their code names.

I'm not surprised someone else mentioned them, because that's just what I was thinking when I was typing that post on the 3 founders.

Who knows, maybe this set will be inspired by the D.P. rather than S.B. Go, red, white, & purple!


Earlier, I had been wondering if any of Projectra's (original Jecks, or the one here) teammates, while having no personal issue with Jecks herself, are philosophically opposed to monarchy. Then Matt added the note about her background...and maybe it's the princess who's thinking more democratically?

I like the idea of the Doom Patrol inspiring the Legion's formation!

Which means Robotman has to somehow exist in the 31st century!
