So, many years ago, on the long defunct old school DCMBs, the beloved poster MLLASH started a really cool thread called "Rewrite Legion History". Basically, the idea was that the first twenty-five posters to the thread each got to choose ONE Legion-related character to be in this alternate version of the Legion. And then we played with how Legion history might develop from that point forward. When we first moved to Legion World, I started a new version of that thread here

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to do an ALL-NEW, ALL-NOW version of this classic thread!

So, this time, I'll begin by choosing a Legion character who will serve as the "RJ Brande" of our new Legion, then the next three posters will choose the founders, and then on from there, until we have our twenty-five! You can do what the creators have done, and REWRITE LEGION HISTORY!

Our re-written Legion will originate when it saves the life of... Formerly Aged Prospector Thomas Keene!

Now, who will be in the rewritten Legion? YOU DECIDE!

The first founder is Princess Projectra from Orando

Hmm... the last rewritten Legion had illusion-caster Command Kid as a founder, and this one has Princess Projectra! Plus the lord of lightning, himself, Mekt Ranzz!

Who will be the third founder?

With the words 'Legion-related,' I'm tempted to stick to characters that were never actually Legionnaires, but deserved a chance to shine.

But instead, I'll just pick a Legionnaire who never really got a chance to shine!

Remember, any character from the Legion will work! Too old? We'll re-write 'em as de-aged! A villain? We'll re-write 'em as heroes! Only appeared in a single panel? We'll make up an elaborate back-story!

Danielle-- perhaps her codename is Miss Terious in this timeline and she wears an elaborate suit she has formed a mecha-empathic bond with?

Ral Benem as Plant Lad - he himself is a plant-based intelligent life form with the complete control over all plants and can communicate with them.

As an attempt to sway Eryk in favor of Danielle as Miss Terious-- we need a REASON why she hides her ID from the public.

I submit that she has joined the LSH as a 'hide in plain sight' witness-protection-type deal. But... WHO does she need protection FROM?

Yeah, you only get one, unless the thread stalls before we get up to twenty-five, in which case I'll start allowing people to pick a second one.

Who the heck is "Formerly Aged Prospector Thomas Keene?" Is that a real person from Legion continuity? How can I possibly have missed him?

I shall choose Anti-Lad, with the Reflecto-like power to turn super-powers back on the user. He has come back in time to correct an error in history but, due to rough trip through the time-stream, in which he konked his noggin on the side of the time bubble, he can't remember what he was supposed to change. So, he's hanging around until it comes to him, hoping against hope that he doesn't his big moment and condemn his present to certain doom.

Aaaand if it's not cheating, I would suggest that she is hiding from Jacques Foccart; once upon a time a mild-mannered big brother, but after being implanted with the Computo Virus to regulate a degenerative nerve disorder, he re-invented himself as the Computer Tyrant! Danielle is the only one who has the skills/power to free him from his evil cyber-side, so naturally he is doing everything in his power to find and kill her...

I see Jacques/Computer Tyrant taking the spiritual place of Lightning Lord as "brother to a Legionnaire" villain...

PoFo, Keene is the guy who discovered rejuvium, from the first STARFINGER story (iirc).

Maybe he could be on some kind of World Tour to promote his discovery when someone who wants him dead makes thier move...

Is it two early to start planning out the meeting of the three founders?

I could see, in their first appearance, Mekt being overwhelmed by electricity-resistant robots (because the bad-guy knew that he was present, and planned for his interference!), only to have Condo cause the electrical insulation to decay and become ineffective (by changing it's chemical composition / accelerating it's natural decay), and Jeckie make him appear to be in multiple places at once, so that the robots have trouble shooting back at him, hitting only his phantasmal twins.

Grouchiness ensues as he informs her that he appreciates the help, but the last thing he needs is a twin...

A zelous pseudoreligious group who thinks de-aging is against the way of the universe??

Agents of the Time Trapper (maybe Trappsey sees rejuvium as an affront to him)?
