May I suggest the team at this point gains a supporting character to help heal them after battles, and its none other than Dr. Landro's Hot Nurse! (Otherwise known as Flora).
She's in her mid 20's but has a thing for teenage young men--and girls!

And in some future story, Hot Nurse is the only one standing in an alien triage center, when the Legion is fighting off invaders elsewhere, and has to pull back her sleeves and start kicking nass and taking names, to defend her patients, as her healing talents stem from a regenerative life-force that never quits, allowing her to boost her strength and never tire and recover from injury very fast.
The team returns to find her hard at work healing folks, while the alien squad that attacked the hospital are all lying around in unconscious heaps, with her demurely claiming to have no idea what happened to them, because she's more or less a pacifist, only taking up violent action in the defense of self (or, especially) others...

So, Jecks, Mekt, and Condo are our founders.
I imagine Rond and Danielle show up fairly quickly (DD/PG style).
Early tryouts bring Laurel, Ral, and Cannus (our first non-human member, kind of filling the Chameleon Boy role).
Anti-Lad shows up from the future and offers his services (he's kind of a reverse Superboy in a way).
Not sure how to group the rest.

I was going to say: I'm evening up the male to female ratio and righting what I see as an Injustice of the retro-boot by adding Sussa Pak- the Amazing Spider Girl! "ans she has the best reason of all for us to admit her...She's already been a member!" BUT I'm changing my mind. We need some diversity, AND we don't have a telepath yet. So, I'm suggesting Tellus!
