No harm meant to those who do buy digital, though... if you enjoy that format, more power to you... it's just I'm planning on having a library one day, where the Dewey Decimal System will be banned.

Er... I'm pretty sure you can burn your digital comics to a CD as well! (Or, for that matter, you can probably print them out if you really want them on paper).

If they not in a print format...they should automatically be cheaper (no ink being used, no paper being used.) I feel the same about regular books as well. I understand a little for storage needs, but it can be nowhere near what printing costs are. The publishers haven't come out and said it as such, but the driving cost factor for the last 15 years or so has been increasing creator pay and health care. Plus with the shrinking sales (excluding the turnaround from DCU), they charge higher and higher prices to maintain profit margins. Although with Marvel, they've gotten rather greedy and gone to excess - on many levels. Also on DC digital titles, they lower the price to 1.99 after the digital issue has been on sale for a month.

Tom Defalco is posting on the Spider-Girl boards at comicboards. I already asked him a few questions there, but then I was already using those boards (and have pretty much a complete set of Spider-Girl). He says that he researches every assignment, including the Legion, that he hadn't heard of the DC boards before I told him, and his answer about using other characters was vague. You can go there at http://www.comicboards.com/spidergirl/ but I would not suggest an inrush of Defalco-bashers.

Ive always suspected Dewey is the librarian...of space hell! Where everything is digital by the way.

I thought Firestar was well-written back in the day. I don't think Tom's stuff is horrible -- but it's not very inspired.
