I know how I feel about it - it sucks.
I hated Fantastic Four when he was writing it. He couldn't think of something better to do for the book's 30th anniversary than to a) swipe an old Legion plot, and b) turn back the clock on about eight years of character development.
I have never liked DeFalco as a writer. I hope he proves me wrong in Legion Lost, but I'm not giving myself expectations.

Not exactly sure how I feel about this.

I think you might be right. I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to bail with DeFalco writing it. Nothing against Tom (Has he ever written a DC comic before?), I just see a lot of folks that might have grabbed it to see what Fabian was up to ditching once he;s gone, and I don't see there being enough DeFalco followers to make a dent in the sales.

So not much really...not sure how that will translate into whether he 'gets' the Legion or not. I just really hope he does not bring Frenz along for the ride.

Well at least they will be heading back to the 30th century soon. I'm all for two legion books but get them back in the 30th century. And let Paul write both. Bye bye Legion Lost

Reboot said: Glad I'm not getting this, so I don't have to drop it (I want to "ha-HA!" everyone who complained about Fabian at this point!)
Having just read # 3, I can safely state this book would not have made it past # 12 even without the writer change. It's just plain DULL.

^^Having only read #2, but feeling no desire whatsoever to pick #1 or #3, I'm kind of inclined to agree!

I have no experience with DeFalco, but only heard good things about Spider-Girl. What's the beef with him?
Lost has definitely been my least favourite of the four titles, but I at least admired Fabian for being open with the fans.
Maybe DeFalco is a Gates fan?
We can hope right?

aww man....that is a deal-breaker for me. I struggled through DeFalco's writing for ages on FF, but it just got to the point where I couldn't handle it anymore. He has decent (if not super-creative) story ideas, but he writes the cheesiest dialogue I have ever read in a comic book. It's really truly horrible. That sucks too because I was really enjoying LL so far...boo.

I don't know him, DeFalco, but I didn't know Fabian either but enjoyed LOST under his guidence. I'm fairly easy to please, though. Brin in a romance that might tear the group apart? Dawnstar? I'd hoped that they'd get together someday and this might be it! Except, I didn't want Wildfire to get hurt over it. I'm still excited about Drura possibilities and I'm still hoping for Gates to come back! Maybe that's him on cover #5, tearing Dawny's wings off. gads
A singin' and a dancin' along the way.

He's written a few stories that I enjoyed, but overall he's a crummy writer. I expect this series will be cancelled soon, and if it is I won't be sorry at all.

I don't think I've read DeFalco since his days on the Firestar mini. Good or bad, I'd always hoped that this series was meant to be finite, because I don't want to see Legionnaires constantly traveling back to our time and using present day settings as a quaint playground. I want to see them in their own time, with more explorations of that future. That's what sets them apart from other super-teams. If I want to read books set in the present day, there's not exactly a shortage of them.

That can have a positive effect on a story as well.

He kept me reading for over 100 issues of Spider-Girl (which was one of the few comics I still read after dropping most comics). I think we should give him a chance.
