So I just got Legion Archive #5 out, Adventure #340: The color themes would be fitting, the dying Luornu wears purple with an orange cape (though she's got her black boots on).

Luornu Countdown #41 wears purple with an orange / yellowish cape (but yellow boots). And she lost her skirt somewhere in purgatory

So you could say: "Modern version of the same costume, it's her!!!", or you could say: "Totally different costume, can't be Coumputo-Luornu"

We have gained nothing... but I'll have a look into the Baxter series and reread how Luornu 2 died...

Ha! That makes sense. I was thinking that "Una" came to the past and "Duo Damsel" stayed in the 31st century, but I couldn't think of a reason why they would split up.

I think the first time she and Chuck hooked up was a case of Duo Done 'im.

Bah the Legion should go back in time and take Alexander Hamilton's place against Aaron Burr. She'd then be Duel Deed Women or Duel Dead Women depending on outcome.

Possibly both if they couldn't agree on whose side to take.

Jimmy Calafiore drew the latest issue. Una and Karate Kid both look sweet. Some nice action.

They try to break in to see Oracle. One scary moment has Una in robotic tentacles...she freaks out a bit.

We don't see her using any powers or reveal any big news either.

I bought Countdown #39 just for the cool Karate Kid cover. I liked "Triplicate Girl's" (yeah, they keep calling her that) bathing suit costume better than when I first saw it. The "tentacles" scene was a nice little homage but it was this bit of dialogue that intrigued me most. Una to Val:

"How do we know she'll help figure out what's wrong with you?"

So, what's "wrong" with Val?

That caught my attention also.

Re: Dev-Em. I just read his first appearance in the Legion and he sure was a scoundrel. Infact, I hated him until he said he reformed. So I wonder if the evil phantom zone Dev-Em will ever reform? Interesting.

And more importantly, why does Luornu have such stringy black hair? Ick.

I just thumbed through Legion in the 31st for the first time yesterday and saw that T Girl has purple, orange, and white hair. How lame is that? that's even worse than the different colored eyes. I'm guessing the white haired one will be the one who dies.

I have my guesses as to who/what it can be. One starts with a big C and the other with a little M.

My guess is its the third Luornu body ('unity') that is actually Computo.

Or Val has had implant surgery. I suppose it's not out of the rhelm of the 31st century that computers are involved in that.

Those viruses always show at the most embarrasing times.

So I'm told.

Attached is a scan of the original art to JSA #6 page 2 panel 1. The published version used a patch panel but the original art shows the original panel that was planned for the issue. My guess (pure speculation on my part) is that the editor thought this panel would reveal too much too soon and requested the patch panel.

The panel clearly shows that there are three versions of the Legion with one Superboy. One of the Brainiac 5's has a monkey on his shoulder and Gates apears in the panel so we know that the post-Zero Hour Legion will be recognized in DC continuity. One Lightning Lad is clearly in his silver age costume so the pre-Zero Hour Legion will be recognized as well. The Phantom Girl appears to have the WaK symbol on her costume so my guess is that the WaK Legion is the third. In other words, all three versions of the Legion not only met and were inspired by one Superboy, but all three met each other as well.
