My guess is Kon-El, as there is a subplot about his revival currently running in the Teen Titans mag. Could the TT's be the third Legion group?

After Dawnstar was inducted, Blok was, then Superboy rejoined. Maybe in this time period, it is Superboy who was the latest inducted Legionnaire.

Or maybe it's just a reference to the fact that they can't call him Superboy anymore.

Yeah, about that. I keep hearing that DC can't use the name 'Superboy' for some reason in any of it's properties (including the animated series). Can anybody explain what happened? I can't see how they can't use it now after years of use - including the title on a few series as recent as 6-7 years ago.

Here is one of hundreds, if not thousands, of articles on the lawsuit that has forbade DC to use the name "Superboy". If you need more, just do a Google search.

rtvu2, Legion of Three Worlds I take it maybe less universes in the future?

Maybe New Earth, Earth 1, and Earth 2 all have the same Legion? Three universes converge into one after 1000 years?

I also think Superman of E2 Kal-L and Powergirl of E2 are defintely involved in this. But I also think Barry Allen is the person they are trying to revive as well. Either Barry or Kal-L are my picks.

Seeing those costumes and those characters like that is too beautiful for words.

Wndola, if no one else posts one, I may have the old red logo still around. But I'm off to a meeting for a new side job to create some websites so it may be a few hours before I can post it.

Wow. Reading that preview gave me chills.

Val says, "they [the founders] risked their lives to save me." That implies he survived the LSV war?

The other comments imply a Conspiracy-type story to save someone (or the entire LSH or the entire timeline) while keeping the Founders out of it.

Supes refers to a convoluted "three legions" event, and changing memories: I suspect all three legions will/did team up vs. the Time Trapper (who may now be Degaton? just a thought).

The mindwipes previously made me suspect Universo, but that seems less likely now.

The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

Could their mission be to prevent the threeboot timeline from coming about?

I still think Geoff Johns would be perfect as the writer if there were a return of the Levitz era Legion.

I really hope this is signalling a return of the "classic" Legion. And that it's not a case of using these characters as evil duplicates of people Superman remembers from his youth to destroy the Multiverse or some nonsense.

Since the pre-crisis LSH has supported Archive Editions to the point where it would be cheaper to buy the originals rather than the Archives. Meanwhile re-boots have never caught on. Maybe TPTB have finally have come to their senses.

Giving us back the "classic" Legion and making them evil duplicates or mind controlled dupes would smack of bad taste and thoughtlessness on DC's part.

Here we are with a new cartoon, heading to the 50th anniversary of our favorite super-hero teens of the future, the multiverse is back, we begin a crossover of monumental proportions, only to discover they're the villains, would cause a very large and angry mutiny from Legion fans everywhere!!!!

As much as I hope that there is something big being planned for the 'return' of 'the' Legion, I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

Plus with the return of the multiverse in 52 no52, this could all be so-easily explained as the LSH of Earth[insert number here].
It does make it possible (as someone else has said) for there being 52 different versions of the Legion out there... how many versions do we have now? 5-6? that's an awful lot of versions yet to see...

Just read the new stuff. Though I really think that Meltzer likes it too much to talk in riddles - have to reread nearly every second sentence, this seems more and more like "LOST" to me - I am very excited to have these classic Legionnaires back in the fold. Really am wondering whom they are going to ressurrect - according to the Preview of JSA, Lightning Lad is NOT the one this time.

Hope this is going to end with a Classic Legion ongoing in the 31st century (of whichever Earth), not a mini-series in the 21st endling in another farewell.

I'm excited. I just am praying this isn't some cheap trick to have the classic Legion "change time to save Superman" which results in the threeboot Legion taking their place on the timeline. Been there, done that.

Really excited about this though and really, really, really want the return of the classic, real Legion.

Cobalt, how can they not bring them back when everyone is freaking out over this close to the classic legion returning?

Did anyone see the Jim Lee video at NYCcon 07 where he says working on the classic Legion will be his dream project???

Anyways, if they don't bring back this Legion or something similiar to it DC is crazy. It's not going to be same exact Legion as before but something close to it. Superman when he was a boy and all of that. Like the cartoon I think will opt with using "Superman" cause they have to.

If they don't bring back this "Classic" Legion I wouldn't call DC crazy, I'd call them insane. Take a look at the DC comics LSH discussion board, I'd say that at least 75% of new messages are clamoring for replacing the threeboot Legion with the one depicted in this crossover. Paul Levitz is the publisher after all.

Other than the above major spoiler... whomever wrote this did their homework...the legionnaires interpersonal relationships were exactly how we read them growing up *well some of us lol* the Classic Relationship of Click Here For A SpoilerDawnstar and Wildfire was shown totally on like I remembered it.
