Thoughts...

Maybe White Angel = White Witch?

"Sprock" and the shooting star on the ring are both post-zero-hour vintage.

"That's all he... ." He who?

I thought he was referring to his hypnotically(?) induced personality as "he".

Who are the other Legionnaires?
Dream Girl and Infectious Lass maybe but who else?
That little interlac speech Starboy makes, does he say "Lightning Lad"?

I had fun reading this today. Loved it, loved it, loved it and can't wait for the other parts to come out.

Is anyone else curious as to why Superman already has 2 Legion Flight Rings? Has them already...

And he definitely knew that KK in JLA....

And since he is about to meet the new Legion seemingly for the first time in Action 850, or should I say, they are about to meet him for the first time...

Curious...

Look regardless of how confusing it might be...if DC thinks there is more money in it...they will do it, confusion or not. And the W&K version continues to lose readers...

To me the past has already been erased...

I agree with you though that, Magic Wars is too late...

No I definitely think if the Legion picks up anywhere, it has to pick up before the Pocket Universe Superboy, and since Karate Kid is alive, it has to be well before the Pocket Universe Superboy.

I think if they do restart it, they'll simply restart it before it started to go bad. Pre Crisis. But it won't truly be the Pre-Crisis Legion...but more like it's them symbolically, like this Kara Zor-El is symbolically the Pre Crissi SuperGirl.

The Legion was going gangbusters before the Crisis, it was a book they fixed that didn't need fixing. All on the whim of John Byrne.

The new Flash isn't part of this but don't Bart and Jenni deserve a reunion?

...and -never mind- I saw another reference to the interlac - definitely "Lightning Lad".

Superman has already met two versions of the Legion (I did NOT like the rebooted Dev-Em!) so why not the new Legion too?.. and yes, why does Clark have two flight rings?

I think someone already suggested this may not be the PC Legion...but very similiar to them. Maybe this Superman has met this Legion and had adventures/history very similiar to the PC Legion.

Agreed. The cover came out and people went crazy...including me.

I wonder if the reason we haven't seen Wildfire anywhere is cause he might be THE MAN in this JSA/JLA story? wink

Ok Barry, what's happened to Shakiri? Does she play some role in all this? We last saw her closing in on the new version of future Metropolis without, I might add, the time/space lost Legion of the DnA era.

Anybody seen the Time Trapper lately?

We already saw Shikari find her way back to the reboot Legion in a panel of Infinite Crisis. I think it was issue #6.

He might have Kon-El's from when he was in the preboot Legion. But that's only one.

Yes, yes, yes, yes! nod I so hope that this isn't just a tease on DC's part.

I think the first ring is Clark's and the second ring is Pete Ross'

Offhand I don't remember the Shakiri page but I don't doubt you. Thanks for the correction.

and..

We're presupposing that this Superman was once Superboy. Yes?
Else, why would Clark have one at all?

Did this Superman then have a brief career as Superboy? Or could it be that both actually belong to people other than Clark?

I loved it that they were surprised to find so many flight ring signals in the 21st Century. I certainly didn't know Vril Dox possessed a Legion flight ring. Is there a story where he acquires one or could it be from Phase?

I really liked this. I hope the rest of the crossover has me so entertained.

I think he might have had a career as a young Superman like the cartoon. wink

Good idea Vril getting his ring from Phase.

I just read it, and I can confirm that spoiler.

There's also <span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text">Superman's description of his time with the Legion. It's a lot like the original pre-Crisis Legion history, but... not exactly the same, although I forget why (I have to read these comics fast; it's my lunch hour). (I think it was because Superman explained why Star Boy had to quit the Legion, but didn't mention at all that he rejoined the team.) If I had to state it categorically, I would say that this is not the original Legion, but one a lot like it.

Dream Girl gets a nice moment beating up Dr. Destiny, but she also says that she had a vision that one of the Legionnaires is going to die on this mission.

There's one nuance to the Fortress of Solitude scene that not everyone will get at first glance, but some of the people on this board will notice it and react with absolute howling rage. I won't say what it is; I'll wait and see who notices it on their own.</span></span>

Well, I'd personally appreciate hearing about the "nuance". My stress level is in the upper reaches of the red zone today and if I have to add howling in rage to the list, I'd like to mentally prepare myself for it beforehand. I can't get my books until tomorrow.

He said he never saw that Legion again after the 'first crisis' Yet in the fortress of Solitude one of the statues is Sensor Girl. Either its not the original LSH or they told the artist to reference the preboot Legion but forgot to tell them to stop at the end of V2.

Thanks, it's not howlable but it's very strange this Superman knows anything about a "first crisis".

Statue of Sensor Girl? That really throws up for a loop.

Well, technically Sensor Girl appeared during the "first Crisis", so that's not impossible.

Though it seems like he should then be surprised to see Karate Kid still alive.

And, of course, it's got to chuck out the whole "Death of Superboy" story, as well as other post-Crisis meetings between Superman and the Legion.

Not only Sensor Girl, but also Polar Boy's post-Crisis costume.

But, no, that's not what I was talking about. And I'm not going to give it away; I'm really curious to see how long it'll take people to notice on their own.

<strike>And Sensor Girl would preclude Karate Kid...unless they plan to explain that.</strike>

Never mind, that's already been said. My question is how does this effect, Superman's time trip in "Time and Again," the 20th Century team in Final Night, etc., etc.

Sounds like a mess to me.

I'm pretty sure this Superman and others remember just about everything now. What that means, of course, is well, pretty confusing laugh

I'm thrilled about Wildfire smile Absolutely thrilled! My favorite Legionnaire...FINALLY...back after ALL these years...and back as he should have been! I can't wait to buy this! I'm more excited about this than I have been in many, many years for the Legion!
