Nice to see Phantom Girl being so effective. I would love to see her or Tyroc as the next leader. Notice how gently she made a suggestion to Ultra Boy on how to use his powers?
Also, is anyone else really worried about what's going to happen to Sun Boy when he meets Sun-Killer? Sun-Killer is an energy vampire after all. Sounds cryptic and dangerous.

Yeah, that does sound scary, doesn't it? Sun Emperor didn't seem too fond of Sun-Killer either. I wonder if they've already had a run in?

Lar and Kal/Kara are too, energy vampires, or it their cases, because they're passive absorbers, they are just parasites and energy storers/sorcerors.
Thanks for the new stream of consiousness, guys!

I won't mind so much if their personalities are developed better in the next few issues. If you're going to introduce a dinosaur character why not something more interesting like an intelligent Velociraptor?

Stegosaurus were supporting characters when I played with dinosaurs as a child. These were always the stars: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ankylosaurus What qualifies as an energy vampire? I am only really aware of the term in a spiritual context. Would Rogues' powers fall under that category?

Emily: I'd say it's a possibility, depends on how far you want to go with 'taking from others without their consent, or even with their consent.
Vampires don't always kill their prey, especially in the current 'Being Human' and in the Starsearches stories by LASH and Sketch.
If you extend the concept to Rogue, I don't see why it couldn't include Earth Man, as well. He steals for his needs, directly from others, usually without their consent. In the Action story, he kept a number of Legionnaires trapped so that he could take their powers.
Sun Killer takes the power/lifeforce of stars and 'kills' them in the process. Very violent process.

Earth Man is less of a vampire, because he doesn't really 'take' anything from anyone. (Ditto Duplicate Boy, for that matter.) He doesn't really 'steal' anything, any more than Chameleon Boy 'steals' someone's form when he shapechanges to look like them. Rogue, on the other hand, does actually drain / weaken those she touches (or, at least, she did, before she became a 'power elemental' or whatever the heck she is now...). If Sun Killer's powers work via solar energy absorbtion / draining, he'd likely be an enormous threat to Sun Boy, Mon-El, or any Kryptonian foe, as they are all bursting with solar energy. Sun Boy is the 'gift that keeps on giving,' since he, unlike the Krypto-Daxamites, generates solar energy internally. If he can absorb other types of energy, like lightning or Wildfire's 'anti-energy,' he could be even scarier, but, as described thus far, he shouldn't be able to absorb either. Plus, if he tanked up on Lightning Lad / Lass / Lord's power, he'd be a big dude made of lightning and have to change his name to 'Storm Killer.'

I disagree about Earth Man. He, unlike Duplicate Boy or Nemesis Kid, actually drains power from others, at least the way he's been discribed.
He alone has to touch someone, as shown nowdays instead of in the old, silly days when he needed to just touch someone's clothes.
Doesn't he leave them weaker, as well. That's the impression I got, anyway.
Rogue's a power elemental now? What happened to her Ms. Marvel powers? I know I liked Carol Danvers much better as Binary, anyway.

It seemed that way in the Action Comics arc, but not in the current series, as evidenced by his doing it to Jeckie in an early issue w/o her even noticing.

Yes, but she wasn't using her powers, either, was she? I'll have to look it up.
I was under the impression that Jan was weakend when Kirt took his powers and Gim, too. I don't remember either of them using their powers after he took them. I'll go look those issues up, I think those examples happened in the first 12 issues. lol
Lar, on the other hand, didn't appear at a disadvantage. It would be very hard to show the original weaker unless he/she became MUCH weaker.
Anyway.
