Great show! And no Nikki, either! Has George Takei taken a dirt nap already? Damn! Lots of fun new mysteries, and just plain fun. Hiro is just a delightfully fun character. Just when he gets too annoying, Kenzei punches him in the face. What's up with Nathan's face? Is he having a bad flashback? Has he gained regenerative powers? Is it emotional scarring? At first I thought he was seen Peter in the reflection. Was it? Parkman rocks in this episode. But why is he divorced? Doesn't he have a kid, or one on the way? Is the divorce a ruse to protect his family, like so much else in this episode?
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

I hope he's not done already. I was looking forward to maybe seeing he and Nichelle Nichols together for at least one scene.

I liked last night's episode, but the only thing I'm concerned about is that I think that putting Hiro in the past and away from the rest of the cast may be a mistake.
Hiro is the one member of the cast who seemed to really enjoy his abilities and have a spark of enthusiasm. (Though I'm wondering if Claire has become a regen junkie as she seems to have a subconscious desire to put herself in situations where her powers will activate.) Angst gets old after a while.

I was kinda hoping that we might see the return of Claire's gay friend this season, but I suppose that's not happening. Oh well. At least her new friend looks interesting Still can't get into Parkman. I don't know why, but he just rubs me the wrong way. Nice to see Ando is keeping himself busy while Hiro's away. Too bad he couldn't have gone into the past with him, though. The two are a riot together. Nathan, sweetie, it's time to buy a razor. The Osama bin Petrelli look is just not working for me. Is it me, or did Angela age alot over the hiatus? I suppose it could be grief, but she looked terrible last night. So, I was originally thinking that all of the mysterious company people had powers, like Linderman, but now I'm guessing not. Angela and Sulu don't seem to have any at all, although Sulu is a swashbuckling samurai. And who was the guy in the hoody? At first I thought Sylar, but Sulu seemed to think he was someone from his group, so I don't know. Oh, and I think Peter needs to be chained in a trailer in every episode. Hawt!

I think that we did see Peter in Nathan's reflection. Or at least the part of Peter that seems to be missing by the revelation at the end.
I think Matt got the divorce to protect his family. With Molly, he's always going to be able to locate them.
And I don't think mysterious flying boy almost hit Claire on accident, who's he working for?
Hiro is/will be Kensei, I called this back when I first watched the episodes with the sword back in Season 1. Still love the JLI shoutout with the one punch.

I wonder if Claire will be joining the cleerleading squad? It'd be like a superhero donning their costume.

--Interesting pseudogay subplot with Claire--how long can she pretend to be something she isn't? Closets are for clothes!
--Yeah yeah, guy can't deal with reality, guy drinks himself into a stupor and grows a beard. Little obvious, isn't it Nathan? Gives those of us drinking for constructive reasons a bad name.
--So now we've got a "hero is disappointing" thread too. My possession of an encyclopedic knowledge of fantasy/scifi/comic plot devices tells me that either a) unheroic hero will, through contact with our favorite timebender, become the hero he should be, or b) Hiro will take over the role and become, well, his own hero (I've heard this can lead to blindness and hirsute palms, but to each his own). How long before Hiro tries to return to his own time? Is Hiro's mucking about with time having effects on what's going on in our time--i.e., if Hiro fixes time, will it "fix" things in present time (if he makes Kensei a hero, is his dad still dead--if he really is dead).
--Ah, amnesia. Another reinvented fantasy/scifi/comic subplot. Where's the Human Torch to restore your memory when you need him?
--All of the heroes with families/wives seem to have dumped them in the last four months except HRG. Nice moment there before school. The dinner scene gave us an idea of how ALL of them are having to pretend to be someone they're not.
--Was Mohinder's hero-killing disease a major plot point last year? Has anyone died from this besides his sister?
--Do I remember correctly reading somewhere that one of the things we might find out this year is that there is a finite spectrum of powers--in other words, we might have seen all of the powers there are, and new heroes might just have different versions of powers we've already seen? Flying boy would reinforce that idea, since we've already got a flying dude.
All in all, really enjoyed it, glad it's back. Looking forward to the new season, off to a good start. Don't miss Nikki et al. very much.
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!

Y'know, I think if HRG really wanted do distance themselves from their previous lives he might've given Claire a differnt name than... Claire. (just sayin'...)

So my freakin cable went down last night and I my DVR didn't record HEROES! My daughter is going to kill me. It's her favorite show.
I've been trying to check if it replays on NBC, MSNBC, SciFi, Bravo, or USA...I couldn't find anything yet.
Anybody knows? I need your help!!!!

Geez... I think NBC will be streaming it on their site, but I'll tell you, their player sucks (unlike ABC, which actually kind of rules.) I have not been able to stream from NBC without serious problems. However, I have also heard that NBC is going to make all their new shows available for 7-day free download later on this month.
Unfortunately, NBC has decided to sever ties with iTunes, so you can't get their shows there anymore.
Unless you want to try to get it through a P2P network, you may be out of luck until NBC launches their free download service.

Doesn't Heroes replay on the Sci-Fi channel?

I just checked the schedule. It doesn't seem to be replaying there at this time.

Or at least to give Nathan a shave. This season is not grabbing me like the first season. I also thought that all of the old guard (Linderman, Sulu, Mama Petrelli) had powers. But neither Sulu or Mama Petrelli seem to use them when attacked. Although I was thinking that Mama Petrelli would be attacked in a public place and would not use her powers to defend herself for fear of people seeing her use the power. I am concerned about Mr. Muggles. He really is one of my favorite characters. He seems to be coping with being on the lam very well. I did like the scene of Claire getting her mom's ring out of the boiling water. It seemed like something the Silver Age Superboy would do.

It's not amnesia. It's the Haitian. Peter's wearing his necklace. See, all of a sudden, it's cool! My current Muggles theory du jour is that he's an animal shapeshifter in extreme deep cover planted by the Company to spy on Bennett.

He really shined in his scene last night. Even though he can't compete any more, he wanted to see the dog show.

Can someone PM me what happened at the very end? My Tivo cut out. I don't think I missed much. Claire picked up the book at the end of the driveway, and Mr. Muggles (he is a breakout character this season) was barking up. Did I miss a Mohinder voiceover or anything?

what i dont understand is, How can Amnesia Peter know to use super powers, i dont understand how it could come naturally to someone who couldnt even access powers when he believed in them.

Maybe it's one of those things where once he learned how to do it, it became reflexive. Even riding a bike required a period of learning before it becomes instinctual.

This season is looking promising so far. Now if they could find a way to keep Milo Ventimigllia shirtless for as many episodes as possible... Maybe he keeps burning his shirts off with his major hotness power. Nathan should have that power too. They could be the Flying shirtless brothers who like to wrestle in oil. Ah never mind.
Do we know what their mother Angela's power is yet? Aside from birthin' hotties?
Is that a moon?

btw, i sat my daughter and wife in front of the PC and watched EP 2. Ahh, family time in front of the PC. The player was very annoying. Will never miss another one on the TV again.

Since this is a spoiler thread just post it here. We missed it too (just watched the episode). I hate when shows run long, unscheduled. Did they even show what the book was?

I found this interesting, especially after last week's episode and the science teacher's speech.

The book was the one written by Mohinder's father, I believe.
