It doesn't have to be Peter that explodes, just someone that looks like him. Now that we've met an illusionist, if Sylar sees what makes her tick he could make himself look like Peter (since many of them now know what he looks like he may go with the appearance of someone the heroes trust)...

Granted, my theory is a little "out there", but it's fun to think outloud about this stuff.

This show and 24 are the only two hour long dramas still really clicking with me. Each episode is at least as good as the last, if not better.

I just hope that next year's focus on a whole new set of characters keeps the show fresh.

and on that note: i must have missed it after Jessica shot the two FBI agents, but when did Nikki manage to get control back from Jessica to warn Nathan?

Did Hiro met his future self? I know Pete met Future Hiro. Hiro has been to the future (seeing bombed out New York)

Hiro didn't meet future Hiro, but Peter did tell him about the encounter, inluding the sword. I'd forgotten about that.

It happened off-camera. Just to create more tension and doubt within the viewer I imagine.

Well, she was *acting* like Nikki. I know I assumed it was her, but grew suspicious when she didn't tell Nathan more about their (Nikki & Jessica's) shared circumstances. Of course, I doubt that Jessica would ever allow someone to clock her.

I don't think there's any doubt Phantom Boy knows that something's up. The Haitian works for Mama Petrelli?!? They really got me with that one. Peter is really starting to irritate me. Too much drama, way too much overacting. He's spending a whole lot of time breathing heavily and agonizing and not so much time doing something about what is happening to him. Grow a pair!

D'oh! Forgot it happened that way! But, yeah, Hiro was influenced both by Peter's desciption and the painting.

I thought it was due to a case of poor plotting but interesting thought you have there that it was Jessica intentionally being vague.

how stupid am i !!??

i've just watched the 4th episode again this evening, and realised that when i watched it the first time, i didn't hear the future guy say to PETER that he was called Hiro !!??

and for some reason i didn't even notice that he looked like Hiro !! did they have some computer manipulation on the actor that plays Hiro [ because he did look kinda older to me or was it just because he didn't have his glasses on ??? ]

Some of you have said there's going to be a new cast next season--are they ditching everybody? No returnees? I seem to recall the producers mentioning plans for Hiro next season, so I'm confused!

It was all acting and hair/wardrobe. I think future Hiro also had a soulpatch and everyone looks different with a soulpatch.

I certainly hope we get to see Hiro make the transformation in this future self so that we'll actually catch up to that Hiro and see what prompts him to go back in time at that particular juncture.

You see... it's stuff like this that makes me think that nobody recognizing Clark Kent and Superman being the same person isn't completely implausible.

I thought it was HI-larious that the last image of the episode was the sight of Peter's ugly bangs that have annoyed me all season being lazered off and falling to the ground!

Hopefully a new hairstyle will make him less irritating!

I hear he's going to be sporting a beehive when the show returns in April...

I've heard the actor saying that the bangs bother him too.

One has to wonder how Peter ends up with a scar at all since he can access Claire's powers...

But will that heal old scars? If he doesn't use the healing power within a certain amount of time maybe he would still scar.

great 5th episode here in the UK [ last night ] if was cool seeing NATHAN fly like that, great SFX !!

the charcters all seem to be coming together quite quickly [ or at least the LINK is starting to come together ] with PETER, HIRO, CLAIRE, ISSAK, NATHAN etc .....

Yeah Matt, I am liking this show more and more.
Let’s hope they don’t drag it out too long and have an actual ending to this story.

So who is you favourite character at the moment and who do you like the least.

For me it’s a toss up between Hiro and the Cheerleader for favourites for me. I love Hiro’s enthusiasm and naivety and desire to do right. And Claire’s powers are just so cool at the moment; I loved it when she woke up on the autopsy table. I also am intrigued to see how the relationship with her step dad turns out.

I am not so keen on Peter. I think he is a bit of a drip and a whine and somehow I am just not bothered about his problems. Which, given that he is seen by the writers as a pivot to the story, is a bit of a concern for me?

And can some one tell me why TV producers seem to always want to shoehorn in “the cute kid”. It makes me want to puke sometimes. The only saving grace is that he is getting very little screen time so far. But don’t you just know he is going to get powers as well and come along and save the day.

Thus far, this show has shown an amazing willingness to NOT draw things out unnecessarily. It's been pretty cool... definitely the best new show on TV for sure.

Claire and Hiro are my favorites too! I love Claire. She has such a Rogue vibe. It's just great.
