Another great episode. The sword and the dinosaur was a clever tease.
For some reason, I enjoyed Niki/Jessica tonight, and it's not because I have a girls' prison fixation. Maybe because it seems like she's finally starting to come to terms with her power. Confirmation tonight that Jessica is super strong.
Again, I am struck by how much I enjoy Nathan's character, even though he's a jerk. It's a great example of writing a well-defined personality who has admirable qualities, but is far from perfect.
I look forward eagerly to an explanation of how Peter's "Rogue" power causes premonitory dreams, delusions and fevers. It doesn't make sense to me, but I have faith it will.

One of the lines of dialogue from last night's episode was, coincidentally or purposely, a line from one of the Wild Cards books.
But I don't remember which one. And now it's going to drive me nuts.

For those following the "interactive graphic novel" at nbc.com, you know they introduced a character that they said would be on the show Monday, but I didn't see her (unless she was in Peter's dream). It turns out, they debuted her during "Deal or No Deal," and the clip is now available at http://video.nbc.com/v/?linkId=57505 .

Best moment for me for some reason happened when Hiro and Nathan were going back and forth about the pronunication of "Villain". I just thought that back and forth simplicity created comic chemistry between the two.
I also enjoyed "Jessikki" and her final thoughts in the rubber room about God. I bought the switch in personalities.

i hope they do something with her character because i'm growing bored with it. It would be better if they resolved it by saying that nikki's other persona is nikki's way of mentally coping with her powers. nikki's is the good gal, right?

That's right, and that probably would be a good way to explain her powers. I can't wait to see Micah's powers in action next week!

I'm sure Hiro's actor is going to make out bigger on this, but his straight man kicks my gizzard.

I think the budding friendship between Nathan and Hiro is my favorite part of the show right now. Let's hope the producers are taking note of the positive reaction and allow their friendship to grow.

i found tonight's episode just so-so, i was expecting much more. I was wondering where they were going with the Sylar character, now its getting intersting. On the same note there is a small article on scifi news on scifi.com with the character who plays Sylar, you might want to check it out. I am still bored with the nikki/jessica thing and getting also bored with phantom lad and mica, it just doesnt interest me at all. hiro and ando, entertaining as always Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler
and finally to see Mr. Sulu, totalllllllly awesome. I like Claire's character and whole storyline, and its getting more interesting next week. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler
I wonder if what we saw with Claire's step dad seeing the chimes if it means he is now aware of whats going on, or does he just recognize the chimes as those for calling the haitian.

I thought this ep was pretty good, but I couldn't make everything out. Is George Takei playing Hiro's father?

Sylar's escape was pretty inevitable, so the whole eyes bugging out at you bit didn't surprise me. I imagine he'll hold HRG man as bait to get Claire.
I love who they cast as Claire's biological mom. I've followed her innnocent goody goody act in Boston Public to the nympho bitch on wheels in Nip/Tuck. She has quite the range - And a Canadian to boot!
Any guesses on Daddy dearest? -another new character or maybe somebody who already exists on the show!
I'm dying to see Nathan fly again. I thought for sure he'd be jumping out that window when he thought his brother made a jump for it.
And what's the endgame for Jessikki? Either she stays locked up or she busts out. Either way, she's not ever going to be a free woman.
Only quip? -No Isaac.

I'm guessing that Claire's dad is Nathan. I don't know why, but it's just a feeling.
And I knew I had seen the actress playing Claire's biological mom somewhere, but I couldn't place her until you said Boston Public.

I too think Claire's dad is Nathan. We saw a glimpse in the preview of a well-dressed man in a purple dress shirt. The only possibility in the current cast is Nathan. I suppose it could be a new character, like the Eric Roberts one, or Linderman. Great to see George Takei, even though he didn't say a single word. I don't know that I've seen Takei play a live-action character other than Sulu, so that's really exciting (I have boycotted the Green Berets all these years, and god willing will go to my grave never having seen it). This is just a super-fun show right now. It has a nice mix of humor, optimism and drama. Unlike BSG, which has gotten so dark and twisted I almost can't watch it anymore.

I continue to enjoy Nikki/Jessica more and more. Maybe I DO have a thing for women in prison/psych ward? It just seems like her character is finally making progress, to what I have no idea. And I do enjoy her story more now that DL is there and trying to be a dad. I also continue to really enjoy Saturn Cop and his story. His seems like the most grounded, everyman subplot, and I sympathize with anyone who has plumbing problems.

Scuttlebutt! One character from the pilot isn't going to live past February! I'm going to assume it's Simone and pray it's not Ando.

I'll go out on a limb and say it's going to be Peter. His unstable absorption powers have foreshadowed his demise as well as the way they seem to be building up to his martyr-like role. This will give a reason for Nathan to step out of hiding his true powers. Besides, Peter's whip of hair over his face BUGS me.

Did Mohinder tell Nathan that his father's work had found 36 people with mutations? If so then it's the first time we hear about a limit to how many there are. Maybe I misheard but that's what it sounded like to me.
Also... why is it that Claire is so sure that her parents are also genetically altered? Or maybe the better question is why isn't anyone else wondering the same thing about their genetic tree? Seems odd that the adopted character would be the only one to wonder if it's something that runs in his/her family (Nathan and Pater excluded, though you'd think they'd be wondering the same thing about their parents).
