I suspect I should be more bothered by the coincidences that are bringing all of them together than I am.

But I really enjoyed the latest episode.

I think this series would skyrocket if Fat Momma and her Donuts of Goodness made a cameo...

The only thing about Hiro speaking English is that he's really doing a good job of it, all things considered. He's actually able to understand and hold a conversation in it-- why did he need his sidekick along then?

He seems to have picked it up way too fast, especially considering he apparently couldn't understand what the toughs at the end of last episode were saying at all.

Maybe super-language-acquisition is another power that's just managed to manifest itself?

Maybe he only understands it when other powered people speak it to him.

Of course, off screen he could be popping into the future and taking an English course...

I suspect that Syler is actually Stan Lee.

Thanks to www.nbc.com (and Eryk!), I just checked out the latest ep and it was kick-ass!

The actor who plays Hiro is actually American born and learns his Japnesse line phoentically. <---Did I spell that right?

Anyways, I like this show to but haven't had a chance to watch last nights show.

Future Hiro sure has the enigmatic part down pat -- why is it prohecies are never straight-forwardly told? Even if Hiro didn't have much time (ironic), he could've spelled it out a bit better, no? (I don't even understand the message Peter's supposed to give his present self) Or maybe composed a nice little letter or list of "things to do save the world". I'm sure there's stuff about tampering with the future or some felgarcarb about giving too much info, but I hope we see future Hiro again to at least explain why he had to jump back to that moment. Oh, nice detail that he had the squiggly symbol on his sword hilt.

The scene with Flying Man at the diner just seemed off -- why would he land so close to where he could be seen by a bunch of people? (it was dumb luck only Hiro noticed) And even walking into the diner why would this man, who's running for office, feel no need to conceal his identity during what could potentially be a very embarrasing incident?

Ando as creepy cyber-stalker guy - why would he just walk in through Nikki's back door? (I suppose he was lucky the cops were there. Who knows how mirror-Nikki would've taken the intrusion).

If Hiro can speak rudimentary english (and was accompanied by an english speaking friend), why was he leaving that artist guy messages in Japanese?

I missed the first 25 minutes of it, ARRRRGH!

Looks like next week wil be a spotlight on Miss Mirror-- GOOD! She is the one I want to learn most about! I was very glad to see her say this week that she wanted to be "good"!

Hmmm-- will Kid Rapist come out of the hospital with powers now? DAMN, what is the deal with IndestructaBelle's dad and his friend anyway?

Meanwile, it has become obvious that the non-politician Wright Brother (younger Petrelli guy) has the power to mimic powers in his vicinity. KEWL!

And I thought Saturn Cop was killed last issue-- er-- I mean, episode. What did I miss in the first 25 minutes?

Apparently his captors studied him offscreen, and then he just reappeared on his couch 24 hrs later. He has no memory of being captured.

What makes you think that? That'd be odd. It seems like the dad's friend can erase (or take) memories - which is why the cop doesn't remember being taken. In the hospital, the dad told him to "hollow him out", so I guess the kid's a blank slate now.

Oh, and you missed the beginning where they took Flying Man out of the hotel room, but he flew away! That was pretty cool (he also lands near a diner where Hiro happens to see him fly then he gives Hiro a ride back to the hotel).

Thing I didn't get was where in te world did Nathan (flying man) get the money to pay for clothes and food at the diner, I mean all he had on was his pj bottoms (not that I'm minding), so it's not like he had a back pocket for his wallet, hel he didn't even have time to grab anything because he was abducted.

He was still in the Vegas vicinity. I just figured he called his cronies to come and get him and to bring some clothes.

But if that was so then why was he still waiting for his ride talking to Hiro?

I figure either someone there recognized him at some point and gave him the benefit of the doubt or could be the waitress was just nice enough to take his word that his ride would take care of it when he got there.

I dunno, I didn't know what the deal was/is with Claire's dad.

I missed that with Saturn Cop. I'm glad he's okay, although it appears he's having troubles with his new abilities (the convienience store scene).

I hear that next week's episode will be called "The Dark Saturn Cop Saga", where Saturn Cop loses control of his powers and he goes on a rampage, forcing the X-Men to... oh, waitaminute... that's not right.

Never mind smile

Nathan's tab is one of those things we just have to accept, like Mohindar's sudden reluctance to get involved. It's a good show, but there have been a few what-the moments.

"Save the cheerleader, Save the World" doesn't refer to Claire, but her limelight stealing rival, doesn't it?

Against my better judgement, I'm getting hooked on this show, mainly because Hiro is such an adorable little ethnic stereotype.

I imagine Nathan got a shirt the same way he gets everything: good looks, surgically precise charm and ruthlessly efficient self-interest. I really like his character.

...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"
