Future Hiro rocked. My wife looked at me after that last scene and said... "He spoke English!" Yeah baby!! I love that because Peter can use the powers of those around him, it is like he's immune to Hiro's time freeze. Almost a "come with me if you want to live..." feel to that exchange.
Peter's brother (flying dude-his name escapes me right now) is such a moron. He's paranoid about his brother's behavior getting in the way of being elected, but he'll pop over to Vegas and have a one night stand (show of hands...who doesn't see the blackmail threat coming??). "Do as we say, or the tape will hit the 6 o'clock news..." Idiot!!!!
Having a blast watching this show, and I too hope Saturn Cop will come out okay!

I have to say after the first two episodes I was ready to give up on this show, but the last two have pulled me back in. I could stand about 1/2 as much of Peter and twice as much Matt though. At any rate, I'm pleasantly surprised they've won me back.

This last ep really amped up my excitement about the series. The fact that the characters are starting to come together is making me really anticipate the next ep all the more.
One thing I noticed: in the recap at the beginning I noticed the guys' father on the back of the book is different than before! I know that at one point they showed his picture and it was that character actor guy who was in the "Stargate" movie and played Elektra's father in the movie. But in the clip at the beginning of the show it was someone else - what's up with that? Did they replace that footage, or did they switch at some point? (or am i imagining things?)
And future Hiro is *kick ass!* (what did he say about Peter's scar??)

This Hiro would pretty certainly have to be from beyond the "nuking" in the timeline, seeing as how he's so obviously adept at his powers and English! Assuming Season One is one long arc that is essentially about saving New York in five weeks, I wonder why Future Hiro is contacting Peter now? Perhaps they failed originally (as could be suggested by what Hiro saw at the end of ep 2), and he's trying to change things after having developed mastery of his powers? Or does this somehow realte to post-nuke continuity? My head hurts---but in a good way!
I'm thoroughly enjoying "Heroes", and I love seeing Hiro as a badass! I hope they don't rush getting present-Hiro to where he will be because watching him evolve should be fun!
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

The current issue of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY which reveals last week's top 20 TV shows has HEROES at # 4.
# 4. ONLY 3 TV SHOWS WERE WATCHED MORE.
More people watched HEROES than DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (# 5).
Freakin' impressive!

Sorry to burst your bubble Lash but that can't be right. According to Nielsen, Heroes isn't even cracking the top 20 for the season. Only in the 18-49 demographic does it make it to the top 10, at #7, for the week of 10/9-15. The top 20 for last week:
1. Grey's Anatomy 2. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 3. Desperate Housewives 4. Dancing With the Stars 5. Dancing With the Stars results 6. CSI: NY 7. CSI: Miami 8. 60 Minutes 9. Lost 10. Criminal Minds 11. Two and a Half Men 12. NCIS 13. Survivor: Cook Islands 14. Deal or No Deal 15. Without a Trace 16. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition 17. ER 18. Shark 19. Cold Case 20. Ugly Betty
I haven't even watched one episode yet myself. Around my house after the daily dose of One Life to Live and General Hospital I don't get time to watch the shows I want to (Jericho, Heroes, Lost, Battlestar Galactica). My TiVo is about to burst with what I haven't been able to watch yet.

Hmmmm... I *was* checking that list today in-between patients and may have missed something pertinent. Well, anyhoo, it's # 4 on SOME list!

So, we were scheduled for a Heroes 3 hour marathon, got the first hour and then the station switched to a lame Bill Murry movie. Anyone else?

Still on the first hour here. But it sucks that they can't reshow the pilot yet. You'd think one scene would be easy enough to remove so they could ignore a lawsuit. The one episode I'm missing, the first one, is keeping me from seeing the whole show.
Update: Episode 3 just started here about 10 minutes ago. No Bill Murray movie. Sorry BB. Sounds like your local station didn't want to run the full marathon.

Aargh, I'm suing.
What's this about a scene?
I think I know what's behind this. This is Tiger country. Maybe they're saving the shows until tomorrow so it doesn't conflict with the World Series. Strange there's no announcement though.

The company that makes the InSinkErator is suing NBC over a scene from the pilot that showed the cheerleader shoving her hand into one and getting her hand mangled. CNN Money story . Since you can't even get the episode on iTunes anymore I'm starting to think that my TiVo software deleted the episode on purpose. It has happened in the past with shows like the Simpsons that supposedly couldn't be kept on record for more than a few days.

Ah, thanks.
Guess they weren't impressed by the demonstration of it's effectiveness. "Emerson Electric." I think my money market holds stock in that company. Maybe I have a vote? LoL.

And I have stock in General Electric so maybe I can throw a vote too. Well, with the exception of the pilot, we got caught up tonight. Definitely much better than the show I had high hopes for (Jericho) and better than Lost, which I've found myself totally uninterested in right now. The one thing that bothers me is how much Isaac and Mohinder seem to be copies of Gaius from Battlestar Galactica in small ways. Perhaps that's just my perception though.

Just caught the marathon last night and am completely caught up. You know what? I'm LOVING this show! Its really cool and got better with each episode. Tons of likeable and interesting characters that will keep me coming back, and full of subplots and mysteries. Syler the seriel-killer is pretty scary! I really don't even have a favorite character yet, since there are quite a few that are likeable. One thing I'm thinking are that Mohinder's friend (his Dad's old neighbor) has a power, which is why she was so close to the Dad. Also, it might be possible that the African guy (with possible power-dampening powers) is Miss Mirror's child's dad? I've got to learn their names I guess (or use Lash's ones) The cliff-hanger was hella-kewl! I usually go out every Monday night for Monday Night Football wings and beers with the guys, but now I have to figure out a way to see the episodes. My mom told me they sometimes do the previous week's episode before the new one--is that the case? Cuz at 8, I could sneak an hour of TV time in before I go out to the bar...

The latest episode can be watched free online at nbc.com starting the morning after it airs.
That's how I'm actually watching most TV these days, as I'm usually busy during the evenings myself!

Hmm. Maybe that was what that Entertainment Weekly list where HEROES ranks # 4 was: downloaded or watched-online TV shows. (Does that stuff count towards the actual ratings or what?)
Yeah, this makes sense especially in light of the fact that TWO episodes of STUDIO 60 on the SUNSET STRIP were on that EW top 20 list but only one aired on TV.

Cobie, I hear they have these new things called "VCR's", that will record TV shows for later viewing

As I understand it, watching it online *doesn't* count towards the regular ratings. It's one of the reason why shows like Heroes, that tend to appeal to hip, younger viewers who are more likely to watch in non-traditional ways are actually disadvantaged by the current ratings system.

Well, if I tape it on Monday night, I could always have it sent out by courier on Tuesday morning to get it to you Tuesday afternoon...

Did you hear about the new slingbox? It's an attachment you can buy for your DVR that will allow you to program and watch your programs from your laptop at anytime and place.
So if I had one I could be working out of Vegas and once I knew the program had already aired back here in Texas go to my laptop with my hi- speed connection and watch from my laptop.
The wonders of technology and people who have the time to think about it.

Still watching but I think my favorite line was "Up, up and away."
Oh, and Ando showing up at Niki's place. I thought that was her on his computer a couple of episodes back.
