I'd be interested in seeing Saturn girl become leader for a number of reasons. One it echoes’s tradition and the past and to have Irma once again take up leadership would be a nice nod to the fans. Secondly, given her moms role in the UP she will have a mentor to help and advise her and someone in the UP working for the Legion. Thirdly I cant wait to see the tensions and angst when she has to order Garth to do something he don’t want to do, or to rollock him for stepping out of line, sort of can the relationship survive idea? Fourthly it would be fun, given the stroppy teenage attitudes these legionnaires show to see how they react to a telepath in charge. I mean she will know exactly what you are thinking and have done, there is no hiding from Saturn mom if you have not done your homework or cleaned your room

B54Ever. He's the smartest, Mark Waid reccently said he was his favorite character to write. As far as I care, anybody who is't smart enough to vote for Brainiac five, isn't smart enough to be a candidate :-p Intellect is Everything.

I wonder if more people would've voted for Sun Boy before the whole quitting and riding off into the sunset with the enemy thing?

I would've been on the Shady ticket before she started robbing people.

Sun Boy did quite well in the last leadership poll we had, as I recall.

I invite disenchanted Shady and Sun Boy supporters to join the Tinya camp. Lots of room over here.
You might say your prior affiliation is immaterial.

So far, Garth's the only Legionnaire in double digits!
C'mon people, see the light(ning)!

You might say your prior affiliation is immaterial. Too late, I am the solitary vote for Sun Boy... Or maybe we should consider a second round of voting, between the 2-3 winners of the first round?

Excellent turnout for this election vote!
I maintain my support for Shadow Lass, and propose that the incident with the glasses has been widely misinterpreted. Dare I suggest a media spun smear campaign generated by some dirty politicking, anti-Shadow Lass camp?

Looking at the votes, I'm wondering if Mr. Waid and Mr. Kitson haven't been busy subtly manipulating our feelings towards the characters so that a few stand a much better chance of winning. Was the Shady/Klar thing was done to discourage votes for Shady because they have other long-term plans for her? They've obviously sown few seeds of support for the likes of Ultra Boy, Element Lad and Invisible Kid, and have effectively taken several strong members like Sun Boy, Dream Girl, Brin Londo (due to non-membership) out of the running. Arguably Cosmic Boy as well. And is it a coincidence that Brainy's missing just as an open election is being announced? Are we playing into their nefarious little hands?

Or maybe we should consider a second round of voting, between the 2-3 winners of the first round? [/b]First post for me and immediately complaining. In fact it's a little bit confusing, because I've voted for Sunboy, too. That makes two, does it.

Two write in votes for Cosmic Boy so far. It seems that the general consensus is that I should have included him anyway.
We've probably seen the majority of the action we're going to in this poll so I intend to go ahead and close it Friday instead of waiting until mid month to do so.
If you want to really push for a candidate then let's get it on!
...and many many thanks to everybody that checked in and and voted.

I FINALLY voted... and it looks like the consensus agrees with me.
White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

Pretty darned cool too. Lightning Lad took an early lead and maintained it with strength. I might not get much (if any) time on the board until next week so I'm going to post a screenshot of the voting as it stands right now. ![[Linked Image]](http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/9343/votepoll25qb.th.gif)

If you ask me, what's the point in voting for a candidate who is qualified to lead? When you think of Legion elections, the curve ball Legion fans threw Levtiz with Dream Girl was the greatest of all time. That's why my vote goes to....LIGHT LASS! Just think of all the creative ways she can "form a consensus!" Plus, we know from the past she's not averse to "forming a consensus" with GIRLS, too! VOTE AYLA!
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!

Ayla only ran because she heard that politicians have to 'press the flesh'.
She's actaully been running since she joined the Legion. Being from a quiet planet she didn't know the figurative meaning of the idiom.

Something else else's off. I thought I voted for Sun Boy-- at least one other poster stated that they did as well, yet only one vote shows in the tally. Did I have a hanging chad?!?
