So the Bosley family showed up in the movies? I only saw the first on TV, and maybe not the entire movie at that. Re: the new show, <strike>is Charlie's voice done by a John Forsythe sound-alike, or is there a new Charlie finally?</strike> Never mind, checked IMDB, they refer to it repeatedly as a series reboot. But then so do many articles about the DC New 52, despite assurances it's only a relaunch. Interestingly, IMDB doesn't list Charlie's voice actor at all.

Upon watching the second episode I have to be honest and say that I think this show might be one of those new show cancellations soon!
Don't get me wrong, I want this show to succeed so badly! I am a doe-eyed fanboy of the original series and all that ...
It's just I found the acting to be a bit light, and the second episode story should have been smart and original, not a rehash of a slave trade plotline.
I just don't see a bright future for it, that's all.

Future, I completely agree. I thought the acting was a little weak, to be honest, and I didn't even watch the second episode because I see no hope for this series. Any ratings out yet?
btw, is you real name "Kang?"

Looks like ratings are dropping quickly. I haven't watched the second episode yet, but may eventually get around to watching it online. There's a couple of other things I'm far more interested in catching up on first, however.

I did expect a big drop in ratings after watching the first episode.
I find some of the comments (about people not waiting around for a subsequent show) a little surprising, though. It used to be that putting a new show after an established hit helped the new show find its audience. Does this work anymore? Does anyone even watch live TV in the DVR era? I know I don't. Plus, I am getting old and crotchety and mostly just complain about most of the stuff I see on TV anyway. If it weren't for The Big Bang Theory, The Amazing Race, and Lingo reruns (The Chuck Woolery ones, not the sub-par Bill Engvall ones) I might cancel my service altogether.

The 'Bosley' family is shown in the second movie (where Bernie Mac plays the role of 'Bosley') and the adoption as well as the passing of the job from one 'Bosley' to another is metioned with a picture of the Bill Murray 'Bosley' hanging on the wall of the 'Bosley' home in the background. At the end of the second movie they are talking about adopting the teenage boy the Angels had rescued from the badguys and making him a 'Bosley' as well.

I just read online that this series has been cancelled. There are 4 episodes that have been shot that will likely be shown, but then, bye-bye Angels.

Funny that the article says that the original CA went 6 seasons. It actually only lasted 5.
