I haven't caught an episode since right after the season began. We record Smallville and Angel instead. Although, like Stu, Smallville isn't quite up to par this year. We barely just watched the first five episodes of the season and can't really say much about them. Other than I liked Rutger Hauer as Morgan Edge. Too bad they have to replace him in the upcoming episode he's going to be featured in.
Plus we haven't seen the Perry episode yet either. Don't know how much I'm looking forward to that, if at all. Maybe I should switch back to watching Enterprise, especially if they are doing an alternate universe story. Mirror, Mirror is my absolute favorite TOS episode, ever.

The newest Enterprise ad: ---------------------------- They say Vulcans can’t have feelings.[shot of T’Pol gazing longingly at Trip] Meet the one Vulcan who’s breaking all the rules.[shot of T’Pol letting her shirt fall off her shoulders while facing Trip] Drop everything.---------------------------- So, does that make you want to watch Enterprise more... or less?

I'm coming late to this thread but I always have something to say about Star Trek and lately not much of it has been good. I think all four of the successor shows were slow to take off. TNG didn't really start clicking for me until Wesley went off to daycare. DS9 got a lot better once it turned into a Babylon 5 clone and started doing a continuing story. Voyager was unwatchable until they replaced Kes with Seven.
So far the only thing I've actually enjoyed about Enterprise is Trip's blue underwear. Well, that's not true. Phlox is okay and T'Pol manages to be just arch enough to give some drama to her scenes. Archer doesn't impress me at all and I groan when I see it's going to be a Hoshi or Malcolm show. I'd rather watch the dog eat cheese.
We tape both Enterprise and Smallville to watch later and we're several weeks behind on both shows. They're the only two primetime network shows I watch and I enjoy Smallville a lot more, though I can only take so much of Lana. I think Firefly was better than either of them.
The theme music is terrible and the new version isn't any better. It's interesting to contrast this with the theme to Firefly, which was much more successful.
My partner and I both thought Nemesis was one of the better Star Trek movies. We were rather surprised to find so many others panning it.

I'm still waiting for a Porthos-saves-the-Enterprise-single-pawedly episode.

I'll echo most of Proty II's sentiments. TNG didn't really hit its stride til season three. DS9 just got better and better til it ended. Voyager was just plain unwatchable and even the addition of boobs to the show didn't make the scripts any better. Enterpoop I watched the first three episodes of and just couldn't handle any more of Scott Bakula or the atrocious writing. Nemesis I enjoyed, though I can't say that was one of the best Trek movies. It certainly didn't achieve ST5 levels of badness, though.
Overall I think that Trek needs a rest. There were almost 10 years between TOS and the first film and 8 or so years after that before TNG. Since then there's been at least one Trek series on the air at any given time and it's clear to me that the people producing the shows have long since run out of steam. I think we need a break from the whole Trek thing for a while and only bring it back when someone has a really solid, good idea for a new series.

Ken Firefly was the best TV show EVER!!!! The DVD is out now and besides having hte episodes in order it includes the three unaired shows. I HIGHLY recommend one and all go out and purchase it right now. In fact, I am so convinced that you will all like Firefly that I will gladly reimburse you if you are disappointed.

Check it out-Marv Wolfman echoed my idea about a Star Trek break in his weblog . Could this be the start of a movement?

After that, the Fox station in Utah decided to continually prempt, quite common on the networks here. So, how much did the DVD's set you guys back? While I probably wouldn't take Duke up on his money back offer, I'd want to make sure it was worth my money.

Looks like Enterprise has been renewed for another season! So we'll have at least four seasons of this ST series... it's still up in the air whether Enterprise will make the usual seven seasons or not.
I haven't been watching as much this season as I have been the first two, and the episodes I've seen have varied from pretty good to awful.
I hope TPTB can figure out what the groove of this show is and turn it around, because it would be a shame for the ST franchise to peter out now, like this...

Did anyone catch the season finale last night?
Hoo boy, I sure wasn't expecting that ending! I don't want to post any major spoilers in case folks haven't seen the episode yet, but...
I think I'll really really like how the next season starts off. I'm sure a lot of people are finding the "twist" to be coming completely out of left field, but it's the kind of story change-up that I find really cool. I'm actually looking forward to the new season now!

I saw the finale but the cliffhanger seemed so random, I can't get excited about it. I hadn't really been watching the show this season much either.

A friend of mine actually sent me a copy of the finale since I missed it (along with Angel, which I also missed). I need to sit down and watch it then try to find the rest of the season to make Obadiah Oldbuck a set of DVDs.

Damn... Didn't see this Trek thread here before.
Say what you want about Enterprise and Nemesis but I gotta tell ya... I never met a Trek I didn't love! Course there will always be some episodes that arent as good as others but all in all I could never say I hated a Trek show.
T'Pol...? Damn! She's my girlfriend, y'know... Just don't...say anything about it to her, we're keeping it a secret. I--I told her to just deny it if anybody asked. Yeah...
The future Guy...? James Horan was the alien JoBrill (not sure on the spelling there) in TNG who tested meta-phasic shielding and pretended to die in the sun's corona but was faking it so he could steal it. For a human face, he was also the bridge officer in the TNG ep where Beverly took control of the Enterprise while everybody else was trying to stop Data and Lore's alliance with the Borg. I found it ironic that Beverly used that same meta-phasic shielding to protect them while the Borg ship was destroyed since Horan was in both of those eps.
FireFly...? Hell yeah, it kicked ass... Can't wait for the movie.
I'm stoked for the next season of Enterprise since I think the 3rd season was by far the best so far. Hopin the return of Shatner means he'll be playing one of his ancestors and not James T. Kirk. We've never seen Chef, y'know...
Go conquer the universe for me...for the god whose image you have carved your own homeworld as a monument.Go... for your master... For Darkseid!
