Week Twelve Final Standings6) Lightning Lad: 9 (28 T-B) 5) Ultra Jorge: 9 (45) 4) Lard Lad: 13 (48) 3) Nova Girl: 13 (51) 2) Cali: 15 and... 1) Cobalt Kid: 17!!!!! Can he be stooped, or at least contained? BTW, nobody got at least three right on the Bonus Question YET AGAIN to earn any points. Lowest scorers: Tennessee and Carolina (6), Jets and Pittsburgh (3) and Miami with the goose-egg. I might rethink my scoring strategy for the next bonus point if I use this type of question again. I made the scoring spread like that because I thought it would be too easy to get at least 3 of 5! Shyeah!

So--have the Patriots been exposed? Is there perfect season, or even their Super Bowl championship likelihood, now in danger? And what's up with Pittsburgh? Was it just the soggy field, or are they not as good as we thought? I'm sure Cleveland's rarin' to find out! Look for next week's matchups to be up Tuesday night. There's an awesome game set for Thursday night (which unfortunately, few of us will get to see--rassa-frassin', stupid NFL Network ), so the picks will need to be submitted by kickoff Thursday evening.

I am horrible.
The Patriots have not been exposed. Philly played their tale off especially on defense. Not every team blitzes as much as they do (well the Steelers).
Speaking of Steelers? Really good defense but average offense. Is that enough in the AFC when teams like the Pats and Indy are playing great on both sides of the ball? No.
Indy at the Jags will be interesting this week.
Stupid NFL Network indeed! I am so angry! I guess I'm going to have to go to a bar to watch that game! Eh, I have my daughter...maybe I will just watch the higlights on Sportscenter.

The Pats are a phenominal team, but there's so much football left that a perfect season still seems like a pipe dream to me. Every team has a few off days. The Eagles did play their hearts out though. The Steelers, on the other hand..I haven't thought they were all that great so far this year anyway. Better on paper than they are in reality. Especially when so many others teams are the reverse right now (Cleveland, Jacksonville, etc.) Cali's "darn you Cobaltus" gave me a flashback to two other young ladies that once graced this board...and tried to kill me Lardy, I'm with you. Thursday's game is practically *the* game to watch in terms of all regular season games left this entire season!

Yeah, and you young whippersnappers can go to the bar and watch it--but not me... The NFL should be flogged for the stupid, stupid powerplay that is their Thursday night NFL programming! Is this how you reward the fans who have made the NFL the most successful pro sports league in the world? By trying to force cable providers to carry your channel? This is one of three or four must-see games of the entire season, and only a very small percentage of fans will have the opportunity to even watch it! EFF YOU, NFL!!!!!* *and, er, I'll see ya Sunday...

Lots of potential US and LP's this week, which is always dangerous when making your picks.

After last week, not sure why I'm bothering. Definitely doing a NASCAR league instead next year.

Cobie is a master and I looking at his picks as a guide. I couldn't pick Green Bay though.

Sometimes a team's record is so bad that you have to start thinking that things have to start going in their favor. Its easier to root against Miami having no win this season. And they'll have no better chance than against the abissmal Jets. I love how Cali always picks her boys in San Fransisco. I also am a proud supporter of losing a point if it means you can say you stuck by your team

Hmmm...seems like TB/Nawlins and Cleveland/Arizona are this weeks flashpoints for LPs and USs...so I avoided those like the plague! Good luck, guys! And if you get to see tonight's game, drink a beer and flip the NFL the bird in my honor...

I love how Cali always picks her boys in San Fransisco. I also am a proud supporter of losing a point if it means you can say you stuck by your team Well, shockingly, Miami is favored. Though I very nearly didn't pick them. It's more a loathing of the Jets than anything else. As for my boys in the bay, I don't always pick them. But often I do. And, hey, they won me (and only me) a point last week! Besides, you can't really talk. Your boys are the Packers and they've won more games than they've lost this season. By far. And if you get to see tonight's game, drink a beer and flip the NFL the bird in my honor... Bah. I ended up hanging with my brothers and sister all night in my home town so I didn't go to a bar and watch it. The best I could do was listen on the radio during my hour ride home.

I debated going to Beef O' Bradys a family friendly bar but I visited my mom and grandmom instead and ate dinner there.
Saw the Knicks/Celts game when I got home. Ouch.
Dallas looks pretty good.

Week Thirteen Final Standings6) Lightning Lad: 7 5) Nova Girl: 8 4) Cali: 10 3) Cobalt: 15 2) Jorge: 16 and... 1) LARDY: 17!!!!! YEAH!!! In your FACES!!!!! Sorry! I mean, DAMN, I've been in second place FOREVER, and I'd only won ONE DAMNED WEEK prior to this one, so I was overdue, y'know? Anyhow, most of us (except Cali ) earned 1 or 2 points on the bonus question. The highest scorers were: Carolina-31, Oakland-34, Dallas-37, Jets-40 & Minnesota-42. Carolina, Oakland and the Jets?!?! WTF? Also, lotsa folks were close to scoring the 2 point bonus for points scored in the Dallas/GB game, but no one nailed it. It was 64--Cobalt was closest with 65. Ironic that the two picks Des made notes next to indicating he really felt the outcomes would be different were the choices that cost him the win this week, huh?
