Anyhow, it was a rough week for most of us, and an awesome one for Cobalt. However, remember that in the four weeks we've done so far, we've had 4 different weekly winners! And as we've seen, fortunes can change dramatically--but everyone's lowest two weeks' scores will be DROPPED at season's end!!!!
My advice: Think long and hard about each week from here on out, especially when considering your LP--that's what makes or breaks everyone, every week. Now that I've opened up ALL games to LPs from here on out, that should improve your odds.
Most games will be opened to US's too, unless the spreads are two points or less.
Seeya with next week's picks in a couple days!

Week 5 Notes:
--New England won the bonus point
--2 points were awarded to those who chose Atlanta as their US based on Atlanta beating the spread
--3 points were awarded to Cobalt on his US because Carolina won outright
--Cobalt was the only one to win his LP choice (Giants) this week
--Dallas and Baltimore won, but didn't cover their respective point spreads, and Green Bay lost outright

Man, I keep putting my faith in Cinnicinnatti each week and keep getting nailed by them! Another good week for me though with my US and LP coming through.

I can't believe Seattle is losing to New Orleans. Right after I gave up in NO they come back.

If your LP gets the number predicted, then they cover the spread right? (I fail at this so hardcore.)

Yeah, Cali, that means they covered. They need to have at least that many more points. So you (and Scooter and me) just made it!

Thankfully! I was sweating that one. But I think this was a good week. And I finally won (fingers crossed for tomorrow's game) both my games in my work league.

Worst two weeks, actually, Cali! Romo had one interception, btw, so that's a point for myself, Cali and Nova. Maybe I should keep picking against my Panthers, huh? Their most impressive win so far this season! Damn, is there any way they can play all their games on the road? They're 4-0 away and 0-2 at home! Damn Redskins--if they'd won, or at least covered, I'd be pwning this week!!!

Week Six Final Standings
6) Cali: 10 (49)
5) Lardy: 10 (54)
4) Ultra Jorge: 11
3) Nova Girl: 12
2) Lightning Lad: 14
and...
1) COBALT KID: 15!!!!!
Cobalt wins again in a week where EVERYONE won their LP!! I guessed closer than Cali on the Tie-breaker (total point were actually 75--WOW!), hence the rankings for the bottom two spots. Any way you look at it though, everyone had a terrific week as only 5 points separate first and last place.

Do you guys realize how absolutely pivotal that Green Bay/Washington outcome was this week? I mean FOUR of you LP'd that game! If GB had lost or won by less than 3, you guys would've subtracted 8 points from what turned out to be your final outcome, and I would've had another 2 or 3 added to mine for my US pick! I'll hand it to ya--ya'll showed some cajones! The 'Skins are pretty good this year and probably should have won based on how most of that game went. As it is, though, Cobalt's opened up a 15-point lead, and Scott's climbed back up into contention. This week would indicate that all of us might be getting a better feel for this game, so things may be changing shortly... Lucky-duckies!!! No guts, no glory, eh?

Now is the part of the season where teams that have sucked all along will screw up our picks (and the bookies point spreads). So damn you Rams and Dolphins, if you end up being responsible for killing our standings...
