I really have to say that the book finally feels like a Legion book to me since the Dominator storyline started. I read ##28 & 29 yesterday and was rather content with the way everything was handled. Of course, the cunning plotting of 5YLs Dominators is replaced with a rather bland approach here, but it has been put into continuity by mentioning "Invasion!" and the 52 Booster popping up and the writing was okay, no traces of the "we are young and you are old" kindergarden plot. Even the characters are finally starting to come out.
I really am interested to see where this whole Legion hype will be going...

I quite enjoyed this issue - the art was alright, I liked seeing things from a Dominators point of view and it was good too see sun Boy finally get out from those shackles and zap something.
My only real problem was how un-alien the Dominator city looked, I'd always imagined them to be more hive like. I'm also uncomfortable with the idea that the Legion can openly attack a world - whatever the provocation, but I'll wait and see where it goes.
Legion Worlds Ten - the final chapter is here. Find out the ultimate fate of our fantastic future friends.Only found in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

Yeah, the issue wasn't bad, but like Harbinger I was really annoyed that the Dominator city didn't look like a Dominator city! C'mon, Barry has drawn the Dominion homeworld recently. Do some f&(*&)(ing research already.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Latest issue: well, I didn't love it. I'll leave it at that. Its a shame that its now sunk pretty low in 'can't wait to read' pile.
I still have hope.

I blame Dido and even Wacker for this, ultimately.
Enough of this cross-sell BS. Let the writers tell their own stories instead of having to wrap them into some stupid event series with rigid timing.
IMO, if the Legion didn't have to be tied into these events, they could have focused on developing a solid foundation for the new run, instead of aliens with overbites, shouting "52, 52, 52!" Waid should never have been tapped to work on the 52, when he had his own title to concentrate on.
Dido needs to go. He's running DC into the ground.

I still have hope. That's interesting, because on MY "can't wait to read pile", the Legion slowly got up again in the last months after being the LAST book and being in dire danger of getting un-subscripted by me last year. But it was probably the hype over the Lightning Saga which made it TOP of the list this months (JLA #8, JSA #5 and then Legion #28 & 29). But I really can second your feelings because I had the same since Waid took over...

I still have hope. My hope lies with the next writer. I used to be a huge Waid fan. His LSH run (in general - there have been a few good element/moments, but not enough to carry the book) has disabused me of that notion. On the other hand, my expectations for the finale are so low I could actually be pleasantly surprised.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

Er... I finally read this. I actually thought it was pretty decent. But #30 was even cooler.
