Is it really possible for a show to have far too many people who have to take their pants off to use their super powers?!?
I think we're beginning to see the genius behind Sookie's persistent habit of walking into dangerous situations. "Oh shoot, now Alcide has to take his pants off to save me..." The girls no fool and she got some quality naked time with Eric and Alcide last night. On the other hand, she did intercede to prevent them from engaging in a naked wrestling match. Maybe she has some scruples.
I'm totally on board with all of this season's plots and subplots. There is just so much going on. Totally loving Tara's attitude this season. I hope Pam heals quickly.

Wow. What could make this wonderful show even better? Click Here For A SpoilerHow about Eric and Sookie making love under a full moon while Neko Case plays in the backgound? Done. After the first episode, I wasn't sold on all the plotlines but I am 100% into every storyline now that the faeries are out of the picture apparently and HotShot has been left behind (forever I hope).
The witch plot has surprised me by becoming so awesome and I *love* the actress playing Marnie. I'm looking forward to seeing her kick a little ass now that she has been possessed.
Equally surprising and delightful, the evil baby/doll/ghost plotline is just as fascinating to me as the witch plot now.
And you may consider me 100% on Team Eric after this ep. I'm fine if Bill never gets back with Sookie now.

EDITED FOR BOOK SPOILERS BY REQUEST OF TSD: Well, the series is a very different reality from the books, but in the books she Click Here For A Spoileris closer to Eric than Bill and has been for some time. I would guess the show will sort of keep with that. On the other hand... in the books, Lafeyette is dead, Jason married Crystal, Sookie is technicallly married to Eric (under avampire custom she doesn't acknowledge), Jason is a were panther, Jason has a look-alike cousin that is of more Fae blood than he or Sookie and Elvis Presley is a vampire . So you never know what could happen!

With the deconstruction of 'good boyfriend' Bill and the schmoopification of bad boy Eric into helpless hurt/comfort-fic sadeyes 'can't keep my shirt on' Eric, I feel like I'm watching Buffy all over again...
And, ha! Anna Paquin now has to do love scenes with Alexander Skarsgaard while her husband Stephen Moyer watches!
Awkward!
I'm not loving the witch thing, because Lafayette feels like a passenger on this whole storyline. I liked him better with sass and in charge of his own (admittedly, messed-up) life.
I like that things seem to be headed back to good for Tara and her girlfriend. Now I just hope they get the heck out of Bon Temps before something eats her girlfriend! (and not in a good way)

Well... I guess someone we love had to die in order for us to want to turn on Antonia/Marnie... but still...

I'm hoping this is a cliffhanger that has an unexpected and happy resolution. In my heart, though, I know she's toast.
Stunning.

This season has clicked hard and heavy for me, since episode 2. I was always into it before but not THIS much into it.

GAASP!! Oh NO-- I'm SoooOOOOoooo worried about Sookie... /eyes roll so hard they pop out of my head. Like she's going to die, I am SO sure. But I'm glad Jessica made it!! Hoyt looks very very hot when he is pissed off. AND when he is bawling like a baby in a tank top, socks and boxers. If I was his boyfriend I would totally be making him cry and/or driving him into a fury ALL the time... SO HOT! Tommy = ugliest drag queen EVER! LOVED how the werewolf plotline just intersected with Sam's story! And we can now call Lafayette Mavis apparently. This season continues to kick ass!

Wow -- another very intense episode. This is turning out to be the best season yet.
Highlights:
Alcide naked.
Lafayette as Mavis.
Sookie's 3 way vamp dream. Laugh out loud funny.
Sam's incredible acting as Tommy again.
Jason calling Jesus, "Jesus".
Marnie as Antonia. Lots of great acting by characters possessed or taking the forms of other characters in the last few episodes.
Only three episodes left. Time flies when you are having fun.

Amazing episode! However, the choriographers and the lighting technicians (while deserving of an award for their expertise) should be fired! They totally worked that scene with Alcide so that nothing actually showed even though by rights it should have been a 'full frontal' when he got into bed.

Great season...

LOL. Yeah. She looks amazing. That closing scene and the previews launched the series to whole new level. Vampires with hardcore modern weapons, fangs bared, and TONS of attitude. This is fun stuff.

Wow. Television doesn't get much more intense than this. They're racking up a pretty high body count this season and it doesn't look like it is over yet.

I love the attitudes of Jessica and Pam more with each episode, it seems.
Everybody else - "Mopey mopey mope." Soulful tortured look. Direly predict everything will be horrible if we don't stop it, and then do nothing to stop it!
Jessica and Pam - "**** it! Let's kill something!"
.
Scared-of-everything Lafayette needs to go away and be replaced by spit and vinegar Lafayette who would leap over the counter and pick fight (and *win* a fight) with three good ol' boys if they sassed him. The new Lafayette spends too much time cringing and waiting for Jesus to explain stuff / do something.
.
I wonder if the spell on Pam broke along with various other spells? It kinda makes sense that it would have...

Yes, Pam and Jessica had the best ideas amoungst the Vampires for how to deal with the situation. However, the (more or less) human really saved the day. And, am I the only one that thinks the "What would Jesus do?" query was given a whole new twist by this episode?

Having a character named Jesus who may or may not get his power from a demon is certainly an interesting design choice. Introduced as a caregiver, all in white, having devoted his life to helping others, and suffering some slings & arrows along the way (Lafayette's mother's nasty comments). He's all head-explode-y with the subverting of stereotypes, stacked one atop the other, and then, oh yeah, a gay brown immigrant witch. I'm the non-conservative sort of Christian, so I think it's just 'shooting for controversy / subverting stereotypes' character design, but I could see the character feeling like a deliberate poke in the eye to the sorts of folk who probably don't watch True Blood anyway. (So, in that sense, it's kind of like picking on Amish people on the internet. The only way they'd know about it is if they were doing something they shouldn't have been doing...)

NO ATTEMPT TO HIDE SPOILERS.... BE WARNED.
Just caught the season finale and before that the last 2 weeks' worth of episodes.
A wonderful season overall.
I'm going to miss some of the people who will now no longer be around. I'll miss Tommy's redneck swagger and Jesus' overall cuteness.
I really really liked Marnie, I think her feelings of revenge were relateable, she made a good adversary; and I even liked the resolution to her saga. I broke up when Gran reappeared.
Holly has turned out to be something special! I'm glad not all of the more-recently intro'd folks are being offed thiss season.
What's up with Terry's friend? Odd. I doubt Rene can be trusted any more than anyone else though, the old-lady killing bastard.
I figured Sookie was going to end it with both of her vampers. We'll see how long that lasts.
I'll rather miss Nan... but good riddance to that slutbag Debbie Pelt. Sookie should have shot her waaaay back when she broke into her house the first time.
Andy and the fairy? Whatevs.
A really good time overall... season 4 has been a thrillride. And now the 9 month wait for season 5. *rolls eyes* At least it's only 5 weeks 'til THE WALKING DEAD season 2...

Strange episode.
Last week really felt like the finale. This just felt like a series of disjointed epilogues. Very sad to see Jesus gone.
There were some snappy lines, and the cliffhanger was intense. Kind of frustrating, though, given the long hiatus between seasons.

Got NETFLIX? need a vampire/werewolf/witch fix?
try the TV series THE GATES... I just watched the first ep (there's 13) and it was pretty good.
Imagine someone threw DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, TRUE BLOOD and some mystery/cop show in a blender and there you have it.
First ep is chock-full of british vamps, sexy witches, hot teen werewolf boys and such!

^IGNORE THE ABOVE ADVICE.
yeah, THE GATES was great, but it ran like 12 episodes and then was cancelled-- ON A MAMMOTH CLIFFHANGER. *EXTREMELY* annoying. I think Netflix should be forced to discolose info like that.
So, are we all in agreement that TRUE BLOOD is off to a good start and that Andy Bellfleur's nude body is almost shockingly not that bad, in fact pretty good-ish???
Although I had to just SHAKE MY HEAD IN DISGUST as ONCE AGAIN, Gram's house GOT TRASHED. *weary sigh*
Geek Bonus: BARB from Cougar Town on the Authority??? TITS!!!
