Oh, my. I can't decide whether this ep or the Xmas ep was more amusing. Gingerbread furnishings vs. 3-legged cute dog.
Tough call.

Brilliant episode last night... Bobby Newport rules as Leslie's opposition...

Parks & Rec has been great lately... bowling episode was hysterical... last week's Galentine's Day episode was really funny too...

I'm glad they kept up with Galentine's Day from last year. Remembering things like that help make the characters feel real. Bobby Newport makes an excellent foil for Leslie. With Paul Rudd, there are now three cast members from "Our Idiot Brother" on the show. (good movie, btw!) LOVE the show!

Even if COMMUNITY were still running, Parks & Rec would def. be giving it a run for my most enjoyable current show.

After watching about a dozen P&R episodes over the last couple weekends, I think I enjoy the April/Andy/Ron Swanson plotlines better than the main ones. It's like when the opening band is better than the headliner.
Ann and Tom dating can't be over soon enough.

I can only stand April in reeeeeeeeally small doses. In fact, right now I have a very April-ish co-worker and I almost danced for joy when she took Friday off of work. (And trust me: I wasn't the only drone who was pleased.) The campaign manager for Leslie's opponent is great. From what I know of local politics, she's very true to life. I'm always bowled over by how good the acting and the writer's ear for well-timed dialogue is on this show.

The last ep had even more animal life than the Bed 'N Breakfast show. At least Champion probably had his space to himself again by the end.

The election of city council members for a mid-size Indiana city sure gets a lot more media coverage in the Parks and Rec universe then it ever would in the real world!

BUT... my prediction for the season finale bombshell is that Leslie loses the city counsel election... But then someone in the Democratic Party is so impressed with her that they select Leslie to run for national Congress or something in November! Think about it... It would be perfect for when the next season starts as the 2012 presidential election heats up!

PaR got a full 22 episode order for this fall! Good news!! Hopefully they will do well paired with The Office, but the competition is stiff:

Interesting: Glee is a powerhouse but my wife tells me that a lot of cast members are leaving. The real powerhouse show though is Grey's Anatomy--which my wife watches religiously (and which I have to say, is far better these days than it was when it first premiered). I actually think P&R won't be too impacted by this change since they've always competed with Grey's, but I suspect this might be the death knell for Glee.
Meanwhile: about two weeks ago I literally spent an hour and a half watching P&R gag reels on youtube. I was laughing hysterically! Can you imagine working with the cast? I couldn't go more than ten seconds when Ron Swanson starts talking.
Amy Poehler has slowly turned into a personal hero of mine.

Much enjoyed the last ep, but I probably should avoid details in case anyone still hasn't seen it.

This past Thursday, PARKS & REC was NBC's most-watched sitcom, trouncing 30 Rock, Up All Night and The Office in total number of viewers (though The Office was higher-rated due to getting higher numbers in the 18-49 age-group demo). http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/10/05/30-rock-2/ Still, this is quite nice for our lovely Ms. Knope!
