Yeah, I'm not digging the costume either... not saying it has to be the Lynda Carter version, but something about this one is off-putting, especially the boots...
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...

I think it works better than the bathing suit. Even on Ms. Carter it was a bit... cheesy. It worked in the show she did, but this one is supposed to be a bit more "realistic" if you can use that with what we've heard about the show.
But yeah, the boots, not so much.

It's better than I thought it would be, honestly.
It;s not terrible, but also not what I would have hoped for either.

The comments are really funny.
It strikes me that the bathing suit is actually more practical than the plastic pants!
try to run in those!

Well, it is David Kelley. Never thought he was the one for this anyway. But I can live with the costume easily enough.
Look, some changes had to be made. I personally would have gone with something like the Perez battle skirt instead, but they were looking for more modern.
Just as long as they don't do the fists on hips bad posing, I might can stand it. I'm sure Carol will go nuts for it.

Rick, when you read the premise of the show, there is no way you'll watch it, knowing your tastes.

Funniest description I've read today: "Ally McBeal with a magic lasso".

I agree with Tom and Lorenzo when they say that every thing is too shiny and plastic looking, especially the gold parts.
The bathing suit doesn't work on so many levels, especially is Diana uses any fighting techniques.
I did read the premise of the show. I agree with Dem, though, how do you mess THAT up?

My 8-year-old daughter's reactions:
"If it's a 'real person' show, I won't watch it.
Wait! Why is she wearing pants, she needs blue under-ish things!
And why aren't her boots red?"
There you go.

It's so typical. They suck all of the fun out of something by trying to make it "serious" and "non-campy", and then they make it absurd by putting her in the bustier and heels so that no one can really take it seriously.

no, the tv show. Don't know bout the movie. Looks better, and she's pretty. Maybe not the classic beauty that role calls for, but I think she'll be fine. She' pretty good in the couple of things I've seen her in.
