The new costume actually looks a great deal like the pic posted above.

Just saw the new Wonder Woman in the movie Legion. She was pretty good. Not all over the place, not flat. She hit the role pretty good, though it seemed the movie was a cross of The Prophecy and Terminator, with her in the the Sarah Conner role.
Still, she did well, so I have some hope for the show.

Not legion of superheros, but the movie Legion. It was the story of the archangel michael, played by Paul Bettany i think it is, saving the life of the new "savior" to save mankind. In doing so, he defies heaven and the host of angels to do so. The voiceover at the start and end reminded me a lot of Terminator 2. The angel revolt was a lot like The Prophesy, with the roles reversed and the angel Michael being the good guy, but in a bad way.

Oh, it stared Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Dennis Quaid, the hot redhead from Private Practice, Charles Dutton, the new wonder woman, and the bad guy was the big crazy brother in smokin' aces.
I will say this, lots of great "wing" stuff, and I can see where a lot of people thought this was the template for how to do a Hawkman tv show or movie.

LOL! I hadn't thought about it before, but you are right. Legion is a cross between 'Terminator' and 'Prophesy' (with a dash of 'Trancers' or maybe 'Demon Knight'? thrown in).... gee, I'll never be able to watch it again without expecting him to say 'Come with me if you want to live'.

heh. I've seen soooo many movies that they all kinda bleed together. Its why I like the small budget quirky movies much more than the big blockbusters. The blockbusters have to have that "cool" moment, and the formula is pretty thick.
It's the small movies that are not necessarily independent but can venture out a little farther on the ice, things like Tremors or slither that interest me. Great actors that aren't necessarily "stars", great character actors, they have to work more story with less budget, so more characters get a chance to show up... I just like them more.

Is there some "Seventh Seal" in there? I definitely got a "Seventh Seal" vibe from that movie when seeing the commercial.

Thankfully someone at NBC woke up. This looked so terrible! If they're going to do Wonder Woman, they've got to do it right.

So, with Smallville and No Ordinary Family gone, I think that means no live action super-hero shows on next year?

Also, Human Target and The Event are gone, in other comic/sci fi related cancellations.

Yeah, I'm kinda bummed about Human Target being cancelled myself. I rather enjoyed that show!
I'm sorry to say that I missed The Event altogether. It must not have been on for very long!?

The trainwreck lover in me wanted to watch it. That was the extent of my curiosity. Over on LJ, quite a few fans have justifiably been exasperated with the notion that you can't just have a mythical strong woman doing mythical things and be popular with fans. Uh, helloooooo... Xena: Warrior Princess anyone? Marketers have Cream of Wheatâ„¢ where their brains should be, I swear...

I read a really good article this morning about how 'Hollywood conventional wisdom' is just so freaking wrong, listing movies with strong female leads that rocked the box office, movies with strong male leads (including 'sure things' like Clooney) that bombed terribly, etc.
Can't find it for the life of me, now, but, gosh, it was awesome!

i'm glad it didn't get picked up, the genre is already burning out (imo) it dosn't need a <not on purpose> campy series to help.
besides, i was also really confused with the premise ... does Wonder Women even fight crime?
I guess in her spare time from being an ambassador of peace, or fighting mythological evil creatures.
and why was she running through Hollywood in that clip i saw on the internet, she CAN fly now ...

I doubted it due to Kelley's involvement. I wanted a good one because I think the character needs the exposure.
