All I can say is -- AARRGGHH! I will miss these characters. If things keep up like this, there ain't gonna be no womens left for the mens on that island. Wait a minute...wait a minute...that's it! It's all part of the larger homosexual conspiracy! Those fiends!
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Wow is right. What an ending.
Breath completely taken away. Great, great, great episode. I'll miss them though...
And poor Michael. It WILL NOT end good for him now, as we all know.

Agree. Wow. I can't believe it. And really, the twist and turns are the fun of it all.

I'm afraid to ask. We're about three episodes behind. I take it we lost some regulars tonight?

It's a bloodbath. That's all I'll say. And poor, poor Hurley.

As we reached the last few moments, I actually saw it coming (the first death anyway). I said to my wife, "She better not give him the gun!!" Then she did. And the second death seemed even more tragic.

I saw immediately that she was testing Michael, that she didn't trust him. I was, however, completely blown away, especially when the second victim entered the room...
AND--what is it about women who have sex on the island being shot immediately afterward? I have to go with homosexual conspiracy....
I'm just hoping that maybe one of the ladies survives, as I became somewhat attached...although Ana Lucia's story seems to be told for the most part. There is still a lot of mystery surrounding the other woman, whose name escapes me.
SO--has Michael been brainwashed, or has he made a deal with the devil? And was the plan always just to free "Henry," or was the plan to attack the Others part of a larger plot?
What makes a survivor "good" or "bad" according to the Others? And what about this mysterious "leader?" Is it someone we've met already, or someone we haven't seen? Is it Henry himself? I have to write off some of what Henry said to Ana Lucia as doublespeak (I think it's pretty clear that Goodwin meant to attack her), but I think we did get a clearer picture of how the Others see the survivors.
I sympathize with feelings of shock and betrayal, but this was f-ing GREAT television. And people ask me why I don't watch movies anymore...

anyone go to the HANSO Foundation website yet? It's creepy. Sign up for the newsletter...<span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text"> the password is 'breaking strain'</span></span> And BWB, first you hope that the creators don't go all 'Twin Peaks' and hoped that they weren't making up everything on the fly. Now you think it's to much and too dense. What's going to make you happy?

I want sex like that!
This is the most intense episode since the first two. Nothing hyped, just good drama. After seeing his actions, I'm curious to see Michael's description of the Others' camp played out.
Seeing Hurley and Lizzy get all flirty was sweet, it set me up for that shocker of an ending. Watching Ana and Sawyer, I know what's missing from my sex life. And Locke's keeping secrets from Jack was sooo nice to see. Mr. Island-guru gets some comeupance.
Those deaths, plus the teaser for next week, I'm glad I'm not a Tailie. But damn, he's become a favourite.
Just spouting off.

Make sure you send Joop a message as well....interesting.
Last night, I knew the Michael had too much information for them to act on. It smelled of a setup the whole time.

RTVU2... if anything this reminds me even more of the way Twin Peaks went out... shock for the sake of shock. I'm definitely losing interest. <shrug>

Rumor has it that <span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text">they're clearing the deck for new additions to the cast. My theory is that they're going to free the other tailies who were kidnapped by the Others</span></span>

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if in Season 3 the perspective totally changes and we get told the story of the Others. It allows producers to cast anyone they want, and put a whole new spin on the series (much like how they changed the viewers persoecitive and opened season 2 with the Tailies)

BWB, that would be consistent with J.J.'s work on Alias. And it certainly would give some life to the series. How much longer could they carry on without a confrontation between the two (?) groups?

But it wasn't shock for shocks sake. It totally had to do with story. The producers were planning this from the very begining with the Anna Lucia character. It was planned way back before she got into trouble with the law. It was a shock to us becaused we didn't expect it to happen and from who, but it wasn't shock for shock sakes. If they wanted to do that, then they might as well kill of Locke or Jack or intro a new 'Artz.'

VU, I sooooo want to be Artz-ed on this show.
As for Ana, the teaser for next week confirms a female death, but not which one or both. I could see her surviving, just to mess with Michael's conscience.
Just spouting off.

I believe I speak for most of us when I say, as a group, we are ALL FOR women having sex. (Besides, if women aren't having sex on the island, that's hardly the 'mos on the island's fault, now is it... )

I don't see Ana surviving, if for no other reason that Michael has to remain undercover for at least 2 more episodes. But maybe Libby will pull on through. Won't it be creepy if, for the next couple eps, Michael's always hanging around, waiting for his chance to finish off Libby so she can't say anything...)
I had a feeling Michael was going to come back as a member of the Others.

It should be interesting to see how things are going to play out over the next couple of weeks for both Michael and Locke. It was really hard to read Locke's reaction to what "Henry" told him.

According to TV Guide (last week or this week didn't notice the coverage dates, but it has "Grey's Anatomy" on the cover), the actress who portrays Libby is set to star in a new TV show this fall.
Sorry Hurley dude...I'd say she's a goner.

I don't think Michael is a member of the Others now, I think they are using him, promising to release Walt if he frees "Henry" and attacks his fellow castaways.
My gut reaction last night was that he was brainwashed, but when I thought back to to what happened at the end of the episode, he wouldn't have apolgized for what he was about to do. He wants Walt back at any cost to his soul.

Someone remind me what exactly the Hanso Foundation is? The website is indeed creepy, and very realistic.

The Hanso Foundation provides the financial backing for the Dharma Initiative. The Hanso in question is Alvar Hanso, who must be extremely old if he is still alive. There is also a Magnus Hanso, who is, according to the blacklight map, buried on the island near the Black Rock.

When Hurley told Libby something about remembering where he knew her from, she gave a look - does Libby remember him from the hospital?
