Do we actually know if that was Libby in the hospital? I keep wondering if it might be a twin, but I have a nagging suspicion the nurse called her by name when she tried to administer her meds.

I want to say the name was used as well. From Libby's behavior whenever the issue comes up, it seems like she doesn't want Hurley to pursue the question.

Oh, and on the sex/death connection, remember on the raft when Sawyer was reading the letter from a woman named Tracy to her husband and mentioned that she had sleeping with Scott, but then was corrected that it must be Steve since Scott was dead? Maybe Sawyer was right to begin with, and Steve was sleeping with Tracy before he died?

It's getting a little ridiculous. Good thing the actress playing Kate has a multi-year contract. I thought you guys might get a kick out of this thread. I'm kind of curious if it's as funny from a male perspective. I should warn you, there's a lot of Jack bashing, but the Jack fans seem to like it, too. Click Here For A SpoilerSkate hug next week! the first 3 episodes of season 2 aired this week in the UK !!
and even though i'd seen some of the spoilers, they were still a great return for the series !!
it was great to get down the hatch finally !! and i'm looking forward to seeing more of that VIDEO !! certainly my favourite scene so far !!
although it makes the island seem part of normal 'reality' so far, as it mentions the people behind the organisation setting it up, and it's ethos etc !!
i suppose up until now, i've always imagined the island is not set in NORMAL 'reality' if that makes sense !!??
Matthew.

I hear ya Matt. For a while, that's what folks were guessing. But the producers have been saying from the beginning, that wasn't the case.
Only 3 episodes in? You're in for an exciting season, assuming they don't break up the momentum in the UK like they did here.
Just spouting off.

I was thinking the same thing, that watching this all in a row would really show just how strong the momentum episode to episode would have been. BTW, great episode again. I'm dying for more knowledge! And *choke* Click Here For A Spoilerpoor Libby . And poor Hurley I thought for sure she'd be the center of the next episode and then would die in the end of that one. Guess we'll finally see what happened to Michael though, and where that will take us...

I knew the last scene would play out that way... Libby saying Michael's name, and someone would reassure her Michael was okay... I said it to my wife about 5 minutes before it happened, you can ask her! Interesting new hatch Eko and Locke found! Eko found renewed purpose, while Locke's world came crashing down.

Interesting that the Question Mark hatch seems to support the idea that the numbers/computer task is bull, but Eko points out correctly that there is a whole lot of weird stuff going on that isn't explained by the videotape. I was also intruiged by the mention of a dock--does that mean that there is a base nearby? Civilization nearby? And why is everything so outdated? They're still making air drops, so the project still continues, but they're still using beta tapes, and the hatch is obviously unused (although the bank deposit pipes are still running, as is the electricity--is the hatch artificially aged/unused? I'm getting paranoid...)
"I'm sorry I forgot the blankets." Devastating...
I'm waiting for another shoe to drop with both dead ladies. I somehow don't think we've seen the last of at least one of them...
I know (or hope) that Michael is doing this to save/get back his son...but the character has turned a corner. Does he qualify as "good" in the Others' eyes any more? I sure wish I knew how they defined good.
I can't think of too many TV shows I've been as involved in and so ready for the next week's episode.

OK, is there a possibility that the shootings were recorded from the home base? I know it appears to be defunct but... for all we know it may have been recording (and I would guess re-recording over) since it was abandoned.

That's a possibility. I was actually expecting that they would catch Michael trying to finish Libby off on the screen.

I never thought of the monitors being recorded! How many episodes left this season? I don't think I can survive another summer without knowing more!

Great ep. Eko's mesmerizing, it was hard to take my eyes off him (even though I'd rather be watching Sawyer. ) I don't think Libby's story's completely done yet, I don't know how, but I think we'll see more of her. I noticed that Kate's been wearing the same shirt for three episodes now. When's the last time that girl got some sleep? No wonder she broke down at the end.

I have to admit I've got a bit of a man-crush on Eko. He's a very compelling character, as well as actor.

I think the interaction b/t Eko and Locke as well as Eko and Charlie, has been some of the best of the whole season.

It's like most of the coolness of last season's Locke has been transferred to this season's Eko!

I dunno, I've been itching for someone to headbutt Locke since he came back from the woods last season. Eko has been cool since he first whacked Sawyer.
We knew there was more than one hatch, and each of their symbols was represented when the countdown clock hit zero. I'm curious, is this watchtower bunker one of them?

I just want to add that Eko cleans up real nice. Somebody put together a bunch of Evangeline Lilly's comments on Kate\'s love life. Agree? Disagree? I think she's right. Kate idolizes Jack and jack's a control freak. That's a really, really unhealthy combination.

While I think she's right regarding the current state of the Jack/Kate relationship, I also kind of like the idea that, in the long term, Kate proves herself Jack's equal.
I think that, more than any other character with the exception of Locke, we've got a lot to learn about Kate. We still don't know, for example, exactly what the Marshall's original warning about how dangerous Kate is meant.

I'm not sure I take anything that guy said without a grain of salt...
You know, re: Skate, one of the things I said as Jack was pointing a gun at Sawyer's head (again) and outsmarting Sawyer with the meds/guns (again) was "Sawyer is such a loser!" And I mean that in the classic sense--he never wins. Every single con, every single trick, every single involvement with another person turns out badly for him. He has this cocky, confident outer layer, but HE NEVER WINS. He never gets the girl, he never walks away with the cash, he never wins. He gets laid, gun gets stolen. He is forever having sand kicked in his face by alpha dude Jack (whose treatment of Sawyer is beginning to border on the pathological and cruel).
The closest Sawyer ever came to winning was versus Sayeed (sp? I can't remember. What the hell happened to that guy this season? Once his girl got shot, the only thing he's done is beat the shit out of Closet Boy), and he had to lose some fingernails to do that.
So is he the right person for Kate? Only if you're the kind of person who wants an inferior partner who you're smarter and better than...like, say, Jack. Kate shouldn't bother with either one.

Ouch!
Did anyone get the Entertainment Weekly with the Lost covers? Kate, who is not necessarily my cup of tea (too skinny), looked way hot!
Not too many revelations in the article, but there were some interesting tidbits from the actors about what they like/don't like about what the writers have asked them to do.

No repeats! That is what is being reported here . Next season Lost will run 7 straight eposides. Take a break until Jan/early Feb and then run straight through -with no repeats- to May. So i guess instead of one season ending cliffhanger we will get a midseason one and then on the road to the finale. I'm good with that!
