The worst part is the DVDs probably won't be out until August...

You can always download them on itunes. And if you are lucky, have a friend burn them to DVDs for you.

Actually, the producers are apparently pushing for this. It's basically to deal with the repeats problem. They're trying to make a deal where they can show the season in three acts (so you'd get one block of eight episodes, then a break, then another block, another break, then the final block of the season). Apparently, in order to get everything lined up to hit all the sweeps periods, this may mean not starting the season until October.

I'd trade off a later start to the season for less of the interminable interruptions.

I'd like that. I can wait for the start of the season, but I definately am having issues with the wait b/t episodes.

If HBO can do it with the Sopranos then ABC can do it with Lost!

If I can wait that long for Battlestar Galactica, I guess I can wait that long for Lost.

The fight in the tent is the funniest scene in the series. It was like something out of Looney Tunes. And it seems lost-forums has crashed. :7

Oh yeah.... Click Here For A SpoilerLibby led him away from the cliff and Hurley asked if she thought a person can change. She said yes. The camera cut back to Hurley in the psyche ward having his picture taken by the doctor (the one with "invisible Dave" and the Connect 4 game). Across the room, a young woman named Libby was handed her meds... I gotta say, I saw it coming.

So we get some more of Hurley's backstory. At least now we know why he was in the loony bin. I got the impression the overall story was merely to explain why Hurley wasn't getting smaller. Nothing of importance came out of the show. We even got an explanation of his throw-away line, "You look familiar." Although, this is the first time survivors have ever had a previous connection, not just appearance in their private lives.
So how does a mental patient end up becoming a pyschologist?
BTB, next week is another new episdoe, then we get a two hour Alias.
Just spouting off.

Maybe she was a pyschologist before she was a mental patient. Next weeks ep sounds mostly good. Click Here For A SpoilerBut there's going to be Jate. That's Jack/Kate romance stuff. Aparently it's going to be "cute"

Actually, I really thought this epidsode tied up some loose ends. The familiarity throwaway line (like there are any throwaway lines on this show) got explained, some holes in Hurley's backstory were filled in, the romance was developed, the food stash revealed, further mystery around the computer...
So do we have conclusive evidence that institution girl is really a tailie, and not another "plant" on the island a la dude who met Jack jogging but later turned up in the hatch or an "Other?"

I thought it was nicely done the way they played up the "It's all happening in Hurley's head" idea, emphasizing just how improbable everything that happens is. I think it demands that there be some sort of explanation for the all of the elaborate coincidences in the show (especially in regards to the numbers). It's also interesting that the "numbers" curse was affecting Hurley even before he used the numbers to play the lottery. 23 people on balcony built to hold 8?
